Christmas (Or Other) Wishlist...
So...what's on your list? (This is a Happy-Time post...)

Or if you are of alternate faith - how big a dradle did you get or whatever? All are welcome...even Obi! :)

Dreidel.. and really I didn't want much for Yule. My husband and I are getting each other 1 WiiU game each and that's about it. We're leaving on vacation in a little more then a month so we'd rather save money for that then buy an expensive Yule gift for each other. (We had been looking at a 50" tv before that).

If you want people to wish you a Merry Christmas Krellin then you should respect other peoples beliefs rather mock them.

So you went for the touch screen after all Draug.
krellin (80 DX)

Celtic - I didn't ask you to wish me a merry christmas, and I specifically asked for ALL celebrations here. I'm not mocking...lighten up. Geesh..
Celticfox (100 D(B))
17 Dec 12 UTC
Actually you did say that if someone knew that you were Christian then they should wish you Merry Christmas rather then Happy Holidays. I remember you getting quite worked up about it. Now I may of taken your words a little more serious then you intended but after how serious you made the whole happy holidays thing just wanted to point out that you know I'm Wiccan and that Yule is my holiday. You want me to respect your holiday then respect mine.

@CF - Sort of. It is an i7 with a full SSD. The non-touch screen version are have traditional HHDs and I wanted the SSD speed and durability with the i7, Intel 4000 HD graphics on board, and 8 Gig RAM. That meant getting the touch screen. But I probably won't use it much for that purpose.
Draugnar (0 DX)
17 Dec 12 UTC
And Celtic - I remember that thread and I distinctly remember the thought being that he would say Merry Christmas and would rather you say a Yule greetign and Jew say a Hannukah greeting rather than watering the fuck out of it with Happy Holidays. He wasn't against speific greetings of other religions, just others forcing him to be PC in his greetings and I agree with that 100%. So Merry Christmas and you can say Happy Yuletide or whatever and Obi can sacriligously say Happy Hannukah.
Celticfox (100 D(B))
17 Dec 12 UTC
Ah. Wait until the games with touch screen come out. He also said this was an open thread for all faiths, Then don't mock anothers faith unless he wants his mocked as well . And I'll point out I have never personally mocked his faith.
krellin (80 DX)
17 Dec 12 UTC
Yes - that is correct, Draug. And if you took my comment as mocking, i apologize...but I honestly thought you were being mocking and saying Yule instead of Christmas because you won't allow "christ" to drip off your tongue. But I don't want to fight about it...and I hope you have a wonderfully delightful Yule-time! :)
Celticfox (100 D(B))
17 Dec 12 UTC
Nope Krellin I do actually celebrate the Yuletide :-D And really if I had said Christmas how many people would of jumped on me for saying that instead? Though really we won't celebrate anything until New Years Weekend. That's when the FIL and his girlfriend come down to celebrate.

How about Happy Solstice? And I thought you were a blending of Wiccan and other pagan faiths...

Wait a minute...she celebrates Yule? Did you celebrate YUle before or after you started playing WoW? Ahhh...I miss the Yule missions in Azeroth....(actually, no I don't. They sucked...) I smell something fishy here....but highly amusing none the less...

I feel like a flight out to Q's Winter Wonderland is in order. I need that Jem Haddar ship for the next time I fight a Borg cube.
SacredDigits (102 D)
17 Dec 12 UTC
Can't speak for Celtic, but I personally prefer to use Merry Yule to the more generic Solstice. To me, the Solstice represents the climactic reason we're celebrating Yule that day, but Yule is the actual celebration. It'd be like saying "Happy fourth Thursday in November." At least to my ears. But I don't care, someone wishing me well can wish me well for any reason.

I'm hoping that I can pay off a few bills this Yule. I got my wife some video games and some toys for the kids, but for now, I'm in serious mode. I have enough nice things of my own to be happy, and it's really about the kids to me anyway.

Laker's...I try to keep my wishlist realistic...but you go for it, brother. As soon as you can get jackasses to stop strapping bombs to themselves, etc, let me know.
I'm trying to catch up on some Marvel graphic novels/collections: AvX, 1402, Daredevil Ultimate Collection. Also, Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 for Xbox (I figured I might as well start with 1 and get progressively more impressed by the improvements rather than jump right in with AC3).
