Norway and StP together gave Norway a hold of 2 which cancelled out England's attack by the army and fleet so England couldn't move into Norway, then Russia moved into Sweden with 2 (baltic and norway) and sweden only had a hold of 1 (itself). The support of Norway wasn't cancelled as you can't break support with the place that is being attacked, if sweden had supported north sea into norway then russia would not have prevailed and it would have all been equal....

Despite the mod jumping the gun (asking why something resolved has *never* been against the rules before Ora) Socrates has it right. the moving.unit attacks with two but defends with one at Swe where as the defense of Nwy is two on two and the fact that a unit can't cut support directed against it means the attack.on Swe is also at 2.

Just a reminder Draug - this could lead to you giving specific advice on what moves to make to retake norway, which would be unfair on the player playing Russia as he didn't sign up to play you.

Of course a reminder now, ie before that happens, is better than waiting for someone who doesn't know any better.

In general i would prefer hypothetical questions to be raised rather than specifics with a link to the game.
