With all due respect, a glance at the forum, and I think it's evident that I'm playing off the "Ban ___" bit...not actually accusing krelling of cheating (of being wrong in just about every statement he's made here, maybe, but certainly not cheating.)

Yes, it is obvious, but it's still not a good example for new members who don't understand your humor and who end up thinking that cheating accusations are allowed on forum.

Jmo, I think that it's OK to argue that a thread is spam, as the forum is intended to be self-moderated, and spam is more a matter of opinion than of information to which only the mods are privy, which is what the cheating accusation rule was created in reference to. That's not to say that it isn't a moderator decision, just that others should be allowed to voice their opinions.

Threads calling for other members to be banned are borderline inappropriate. Mix it in with something that can be taken as an accusation against a known site rule and it becomes a problem for people who are confused about what is and isn't appropriate on the forum. I won't necessarily mute a thread for this, but I will make it clear for any new members, like Dreaming Boss who is following the "Ban obiwanobiwan" thread, that actual accusations aren't acceptable.

Alright, that's fair. I still think that this constitutes spam from all parties, however, and am curious as to why you don't see it that way.
