@Octavious - i dont believe any of the hype about the end of the world, but I have just checked the premiership rules that states (at para 71(c)(iv) In the event of force majeure resulting in the postposement of the season, the results of games completed upto that point shall be nullified if any of the teams have not yet played more than 50% of their matches. In the event that all the teams have played more than 50% of their matches, then the league tables as it stands shall be taken as the final league standings.

This thread is because people don't understand what the Mayans actually said. They never said "End of the World". They said the "End of a Time". It's like the end of a year doesn't mean the end of all years. The Mayans were 100% correct. It is the end of a time. It's the conclusion of the largest cycle of their 3 cycle calendar. It's measured by astronomical events much like our yearly calender but it's on a far more massive scale and dates the galactic alignment of the Earth, Sun and Center of the Galaxy.

It has nothing at all to do with the end of the world. That's a biblical concept that has something to do with an Antichrist i think. Nothing to do with Mayans.

@Maniac, sorry to derail, but I have a question about British pluralization. NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Administration is a singular noun, why does it behave as a plural here?

I'm not sure of technical answer but I now go for the 'if it sounds right, it is' approach. Acronyms can cause confusion for example 6 members of parliament could be abbreviated to 6 M.s P but that makes no sense so everyone uses 6 MPs and since that becomes the accepted norm, it is right.

So, would you say, "the National Auronautics and Space Administration decides" or "The National Auronautics and Space Administration decide?"
