It's not news, but I am honestly surprised. I know the WBC is really low, but where I can usually follow their horrible logic to its twisted conclusion, I seriously can't here. At the very very least, if they really do believe America is some great Satan or whatever, it's consistent - terrible, but consistent - to picket funerals for its soldiers. But children? They literally could not have done anything.

They want publicity, just like they do when they protest every burial following the madd killing of children. Theres your logic.

They want you to talk about them and hate them a little more.

Well yeah, I get that it's about attention. I should have clarified that I'm trying to follow their pretenses. It seems as though they've given up the ghost and simply acknowledged they're all about attention whoring and abusing their capacity to file lawsuits.

As far as I am concerned they should be arrested for hate speech. But there is the sticky issue of the US constitutional protection of them.

They have the right to protest, and media outlets have the right to ignore them. As do we all. That would be the legal, liberal, pro-free speech solution (self-moderation, like on this forum)

Sure they do. They sell a news story. That's why the cameras focus their way. They matter to the media because people like us will sit and talk about it. They are selling a story and the WBC is selling their assholishness. Mattering doesn't make it right or acceptable at all, only that it have significance or have some form of influence. If cameras are filming them, they have both.

I hope some of the families are exercising their 2nd ammendment rights that day.I'd love to see a bullet through the eyes of Fred Phelps. Talk about justifiable homicide! No jury would convict the person who ended the worthlesss life of that son of a bitch!
