If you haven't played the Ankara Crescent variant (http://vdiplomacy.com/variants.php?variantID=90), it's a truly unique one. It has exactly the same rules as the Classic variant, except that all non-SC provinces are connected (with the exception that inland provinces are not connected to sea ones). This allows you to jump, for example, from Clyde-Syria or Barents-MAO in one turn.
The SRG I set up on vDip for it was also with victory conditions of 34 SCs, as this is one of the very few variants (possibly the only one) where there are no stalemate lines, so this result is feasible. Drawing was also not allowed in the original version but, after one match which went on for a long time without any of three remaining powers gaining an upper hand, that probably won't be a rule this time around.
The game(s) will be on vDiplomacy, so if you don't have one already you'll need to make an account there. 2 point bet and 1 1/2 day phases are what I have in mind, although these are open to change. It will be gunboat (FP on this variant takes a huge amount of time and effort). Lastly, I would prefer if you had played at least 100 phases here or on vDip if you want to join, just to lower the risk of NMRs.
Anyone interested?
