@ abgemacht - Isn't that always the way? I have access to all this information about women that loads of guys would love to have, but if I were in a position to enjoy it in that sense, I wouldn't have the same access to it.

@ abgemacht - Oddly enough it's in Anthropology and Sociology, but a very large portion of the classes I took were in Medical Anthropology and Medical Sociology, and I used that opportunity to write a lot about sex.

I think people who are afraid of rejection are just putting too much importance on what one particular person thinks of them. I mean, people reject you for things all the time, but that doesn't stop you from doing things.

Well, Star Trek is about sex all the time too. I mean, consider the episodes (one original, one next gen) where some imbalance was making them all become violent and horny. The Next Gen version of it was when Data and Tasha Yar hooked up.

Full disclosure: I have acted *way* douchey in the past. I can make plenty of excuses, some of them legitimate, but nonetheless *I was acting like a douche*.

Or to be specific, I used tactics that got me what I wanted without necessarily thinking about the long term consequences or the feelings of other people. I never really went over the line into outright manipulation or lying, but I'm embarrassed by some of the crap I thoughtlessly pulled in the past.

Fortunately, the woman who is now my wife was willing to call me on my bullshit.
