Really, a great victory.
Not LGBT, but I know folks that are, and there's no reason they should be discriminated against...
If straight couples are allowed to divorce, gay couples should be allowed to marry.
(And while he's not directly related, obviously--first Don't Ask, Don't Tell is taken down by Obama and supporters, and now Prop 8...IF Obama wins re-election--and that's a decent-sized "if" still, but IF he does--do you think he might, in his second term, move to try and allow the LGBT community more nationally-recognized rights, maybe even marriage itself? It'd be a great asset for his legacy, and if he's in his 2nd term, he doesn't need to worry about popular opinion as much, as he can't be re-elected, he can risk acting on what he might want even if it's more controversial and unpopular...what do you think?)
