I am curious as to the demographics of this site. Things like country of residence/ origin (however you identify) , state if an American, and age/ gender. Just curious to see the type of people who are on , feel free to add more info. I'll go first

We're not who we appear to be: something good, bad, or indifferent?
The anonymity that is inherent in message boards like this and the consequent increased boldness or recklessness with which most of us are apt to behave as compared to how we would behave in our "real" lives leads me to wonder out loud: at what point, if ever, does this presentation of a sort of alternate personality constitute lying? And if it is a form of lying, does it matter?

Way more fun, because IRL I tend to be Lawful Good.
I must admit I often couldnt help myself to play Chaotic Good, even if I tried to do something else. In the end I did away with alignment once I discovered the World of Darkness. Nature and Demeanour, much more flexible and satisfying, even used it in DnD.
Hey krellz, your kids are old enough to roleplay right? Do you ever? I can't wait till my kids get there...
Yellowjacket (835 D (B))

@krellin are you that old? I had you as mid forties, max.
This thread was worth it just to learn the origin of krellin's name.

Wait dude you didn't steal it from Dragon Ball's Krillin, did you?! That's old enough!
krellin (80 D X)
03 Jul 14 UTC
TMW - my kids are old enough...but they are girls, and did not really express an interest when I pulled out the old D&D books. sigh...

YJ - I am mid-40's goof. Meaning mid-80's was my teen years, though I role-played through college. Miss is very much.
krellin (80 D X)

PE - if anything, my name was stolen from me by others!!!!!!! It's a ****** ****** original.

NOPE i don't believe u

mid-80s was your teen years, mid-80s is when Krillin showed up in the original Dragon Ball cartoon

now i'm gonna imagine everything you ever post as being from Krillin and it's gonna be fucking HILARIOUS
I've got two girls - tell me how to avoid your (obvious!) mistakes....
krellin (80 D X)

PE - I have *never* in my entire life watched Dragon Ball anything, I assure you.

TMW - for the record, my daughter *are* still strategic board game players, and used to play WoW when I had 4 computers and 4 accounts. So I haven't been a total failure.
(good taste)
krellin (80 D X)
03 Jul 14 UTC
TMW - also, they were in my fantasy football league last year as well...

the mistake - I tried to introduce role playing too late - like 12 years old...should have done it at about 7 or 8.

I behave exactly the same in a virtual world as I do in the real one. I dislike conflict, so you don't see me much in this forum, but on Facebook, on a local residents forum, In a MMORPG that I play, I am the genuinely nice guy that I am irl. Naively, I hope to attract the same sort of people and make friends. Sometimes it has even been known to work.
krellin (80 D X)
03 Jul 14 UTC
Bullshit. I bet you behave differently when with your friends veruss with your parents versus with teachers and/or co-workers versus withi grandma versus church and/or satanic circle.

EVERYONE is a bit of a chameleon.
Girls play RPGs too. Mine (13 and 11) like D&D. They do use Lego Friends minifigures instead of lead figures, but that's okay.
Mmmmmm yes. Turn them when they are still young.

Mu-hahahaha!

Proportionate response?
Earlier this month, three Israeli teenagers went missing in the occupied West Bank. Israeli authorities allege that Hamas abducted them. Hamas has stated that this is untrue and that they are not responsible.

Thanks for the game, everyone. Not particularly well played by myself; I made at least 2 serious blunders and probably should have been eliminated, but it was still great fun.
