I would have to agree as well. I think this was a good idea, but it fell through. Maybe later down the road we can actually get dependable players for something like this, but the press was suffering as well.

Is there anyone out there that would like to take an empty spot in this series of games? It would be a shame not to fill the spot on games #2 and #3.

So... it appears most of us are fine with cancelling games 4 through 7, and unpausing games 2 and 3.

Since Strauss is not in games 2 and 3, maybe he is interested in replacing Hot Fuzz ... or in one of both games.

Before simply unpausing them and cancling the others, we could ask for replacments. Since they will no longer be part of a tournament, I guess there might be more players interested in taking over single games

Looking for replacements for each game as stand alone games sounds like the best option. We can give Strauss first crack at them , then open up to the public the games he doesn't take.

I might have someone to replace Hot Fuzz entirely, what would allow us to continue the tournament - will need to wait for his answer to be sure I did not misunderstand (could also be he just asked to take ober a singoe game)

well, i would need two pauses in june for a week each, so for me it would be better if we just finish the ongoing games.

The ongoing games won't be finnished by june, even if we unpause them today.
Pauses are ok, if requested in advance and if the other players know when the pause will end.

As some of us started to lose hope for finding replacement, please do confirm that you are still in for playing the tournament. I would not want to ask tze mods to do the exchange just to get the games canceled a week later ;-)

As a reminder: all players have to agree to grant pauses if they are requested (and a duration has to be indicated in the request). A pause request on global chat of one game (or here in this thread) applys for all running games (in order to maintain anonymity as far as possible).

from 7th to 14th and from 21st/22nd to 27th. if that's too long for anybody in the tournament, i won't defend being replaced.

Pauses are fine, especialy in a tournament that goes over several months. The only important thing is to tell everyone how long the pauses will be

OK, just seems like these games were doomed to sit and stagnate. Hard to see the turn time left on active games when paused games fill the list. You would think Paused games would fall to the bottom of the list.

yeah, i have to remind you all that i need a pause from friday onwards unless you want to find another sitter.
