Essentially what it is is picking fruit off of people's fruit trees (this town has many) and giving the fruit to food banks rather than it just falling to the ground and rotting. In the process we reduce food waste, help fight food insecurity locally, source food from a sustainable and local alternative to the global agricultural system, and many other fringe benefits such as getting people excited about home food production.

I work with (for) these people and can vouch that A) we need the money (there are about half a dozen of us, none of us is paid for this), B) they are good people, and C) we do good work. Please help fund us for the upcoming citrus season at the year's end. Here's the donation link:
