Yeah, from the looks of it. Might see some higher-level coordination from the mafia in this game as a result.

I have never played it like that, but I don't think I'd like it. I think it's healthy to keep the mafia on their toes during the day. If they're allowed to communicate, both day and night become the mafia's playground, while the townies are relegated to the role of extras.

I was fascinated by masonries though....

I like masons in larger games; next one I host will probably feature a pair. Depending on size, perhaps a trio. They typically have to be saved for larger games simply because they're guaranteed town.

Comments from a general game analysis POV:

- This is a good example of why ego should be avoided in mafia. You can get away with one cocky motherfucker or two in the group. If you're playing with 24 other people and 15 of them think they're God incarnate then it's going to be impossible to get anywhere.

- There is such a thing as too much posting. Typically in mafia games it's the inactives who cause problems, but in this game it's too many people posting too frequently about things that matter too little.

Process of Elimination (figure out who is town, the mafia are what remains), Chinese Fire Drill (throwing votes around near the end of the day to get them on someone who was flying under the radar).

Yeah, I am pretty much skimming from time to time. The mafia has won three of those previous games, I don't feel like this one will be any different.

In theory, it's hard to impossible to get reads until there is something for people to react to. There is also sort of this reverse psychology thing where people who don't really care that much about seeming like they are acting strangely or in a contrarian way must be villagers as mafia try to fit in and keep their head down. So he also is probably trying to prove that he is a villager.

my basic thinking here is: villagers want to help town. people like nickismyname who post lists of who voted for whom in what order seem definitely more townie than people posting fake suspicion lists.
