NFL Pick 'em: Week 8--the Niners in London Town, Romo/Stafford, and the Pack Back on SNF

So I missed posting for Thursday Night Football...but if everyone didn't already have the PANTHERS over the Bucs anyway...get out. Elsewhere, the Niners look to crush, erm, stomp, erm, play the Jaguars in a highly competitive game in Wembley Stadium (who do we always give London the bad games?) Romo's Cowboys and Stafford's Lions both have something to prove, the Vikings have to find a QB, all this and more, so, Week 8--PICK 'EM!

Skipping the Carolina/Tampa game, Obi's Picks:

BUF@NO: Closer than expected, but the SAINTS still pull it out in the 4th quarter
CLE@KC: Running with them 'til I hit a wall--Alex Smith, Andy Reid and the CHIEFS
DAL@DET: I'll ride with the LIONS again in a shootout, but it could go either way
SF@JAC: The NINERS win more London fans...or at least the 10 Londoners who'll care
MIA@NE: Tempting to go upset, but I can't peg Brady for back-to-back losses--PATRIOTS
NYG@PHI: The EAGLES win to give Dallas at least a little competition in the NFC East
NYJ@CIN: I can't help this one, and I'll probably regret it--JETS in my upset of the week
PIT@OAK: The STEELERS win, and at 3-4 the questions of "Can they rebound?" begin

Is anyone keeping the standings?

BUF@NO: Saints. It won't be closer than expected.
CLE@KC: Chiefs.
DAL@DET: Lions in a tight game.
SF@JAC: I would say it's ridiculous that one of Jacksonville's home games is being played in England but it's Jacksonville so who cares. SF wins.
MIA@NE: On December 30, the Patriots beat Miami 28-0. Same score.
NYG@PHI: Eagles in a close shootout.
NYJ@CIN: I agree with the Jets in this one, but it's close.
PIT@OAK: Steelers.
DEN@WAS: Broncos.
ATL@ARI: Falcons.
GB@MIN: Ponder is going to go off for 250/4 but the Packers win.
SEA@STL: Seahawks.

- BUF@NO: Lewis has done a commendable job against Cincy and Miami...but unfortunately commendable is not enough. 'Aints win...easily
- CLE@KC: If the (heckuva job) Brownies can score above 10

- DAL@DET: Romo adds to his resume of why people want to see him shipped out of big D...Bush and Megatron lead the Leos to a W in a shootout.
- SF@JAC: As much as I would love to say Jags in a side splitting upset...Whiners should win this one after just a quarter.
- MIA@NE: Both teams coming off of tough losses...but the Patsys are much more pissed...and will beat the Fins like a redheaded stepchild
- NYG@PHI: I would love to see Big Blue win this...but they are just terrible...and Eli is adding fuel to why he will never really be a HOF candidate. Iggles all the way.
- NYJ@CIN: Jets win one, lose one...and the lose one is here. Plus it is at Cincy...and that Bengal D will eat Geno Smith alive...
- PIT@OAK: Gonna just toss a dart at the board...Stillers...because they are on a roll and they have more overall talent.
- DEN@WAS: I hope that RGIII has healed up...because the Horsies will be chasing his ass all over the field...Manning and Co. hand the Skins a big beat down.
- ATL@ARI: Both teams suck...but the Redbird defense can keep an injury plagues Falcons offense pinned down. Los Cardinales in a close one.
- GB@MIN: The next best thing to a Jags win would be a Viqueens win. But neither will happen. Peckers will pound the Vikes hard...
- SEA@STL: There should be a mercy rule just for games like this. Not even close...Hawks rip up the Whaaaams...

OH! What a comeback by Detroit!

Matt Stafford leads a game-winning drive with no timeouts and 1:02 on the clock, culminating with a fake ball spike and him instead going over the top for the touchdown!

Didn't I tell you? NEVER take the Cowboys in a close game, they ALWAYS choke...

But what a comeback for the Lions, wow!

Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson, Justin Blackmon, Danny Amendola, Reggie Bush, Giovani Bernard, Vernon Davis, Dan Bailey, and SF D/ST started. Blackmon and Amendola both did pathetically but I still have 132

so far.

My bench consists of Cecil Shorts, Josh Gordon, Harry Douglas, Marvin Jones (who has 21

through 1 1/2 quarters), Maurice Jones-Drew, and Shane Vereen...

Does everyone cheat in this game?

Once again, I am playing a game in which there are "anonymous" players, and no "in game" messaging, and there is obvious collaboration. Is this standard? Do players believe that because it only states "no in game" messaging that it is okay to have "out of game" messaging?

Drawing/canceling a game in gunboat

What is the etiquette for one player missing several turns in gunboat? Several? When is a draw appropriate and when is a cancel? Is it bad form to do nothing or to change when you start winning?

Playing with 2 accounts

I am playing with some friends the online game of Modern Diplomacy.
One of our friends has stepped out of the game. He gave his password to another player/friend so that he can play for him. So this player is now playing under his own account and also on the other account of the friend who is already out of the game. Our question now is, is this allowed?
