jmo - my problem is that for years I rejected reading Movie/Tv take-offs - and now there's like twenty billion books and I don't know where to start.
Plus, I'm not a fan of the endless series...trilogy is about enough for me, and I actually prefer single novels sometimes because I want to read a good story and actually have an author capable of wrapping it up in a satisfying manner so that I can move on to the next world created by someone else, if you know what I mean.
But...I'd be down for getting into Star Wars novels, again, if I knew where to start, as opposed to which novels are just pulp trash poorly written to make a buck.
Also...knowing now that the EU has been disavowed, and that the future movies will break from the existing universe, I'm not sure I want to go there. I'm in a bit of a qundry, actually, because all the Star Wars talk (Ep VII) and all that kid of makes me want to indulge in a little Star Wars...
Sigh....
Actually, I just finished Book I of "The Lost Fleet" novels (of which there are a billion....)....but they're not horrible if you are looking for a little space ship battle action. Not horrible does not mean good, though...just means not horrible, and are quick enough reads that I don't feel like I'm too much wasting my time...kind of like watching a Vincent Price horror movie on a Saturday afternoon...acceptable entertainment, but, you know, it's Vincent Price...
Yeah....I"m bored and babbling now. But there's a fuzzy kitten on my lap washing his face, and he's just so darned cute. So, you know...
