Is this anything more than a jobs bill for expensive unionize labor just like the original stimulus bill was a jobs bill for unionized state employees? If you don't work in a union or you own a business that doesn't employ union labor do you exist in Obama's economic world view?

Mind the gap!
Does anyone else get the urge to fill in the holes in your territory? You know those islands of alien colour spoiling your empire. How far will you go - divert an army a move? Two moves?

My megalomania has no room for anyone else, it's the itch I have to scratch.

Forcing a draw
Is currently in a gunboat game (http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=65576) where the west has formed a perfect stalemate line against Turkey. However, he/she won't vote for a draw, resulting in a very prolonged game without any end. As there won't be a winner, is there a way to for example a mod to force a draw and end the game so we won't have to fill in the same orders over and over again?

Can anyone defend the idea that a "species" that diminishes its relations to another species in exchange for increased evolutionary imposition of genetic variation among lifeforms can produce life as we know it?

Could a woman walk down the street in Mecca in a bikini?
If this couldn't happen something is wrong with the people and society in Mecca.

Why can't woman wear bikinis in Mecca.
It's basically because the Arab-Muslim society in Mecca is an example of the remnants of medieval social mentality persisting into the 21st century.

Exceedingly entertaining watching intellectual nitwits try to defend the social practice of restricting a women's right to wear a bikini.

Proof the medieval mentality still exists in less educated and refined intellects.

Still no one with a well-reasoned argument supporting the stance in Mecca that doesn't allow an adult woman to walk about in a bikini.
Tom Bombadil (4023 D(G))
02 Sep 11 UTC
Why should they have to? If you don't like it, go live somewhere else.
Geowiz (236 D)

Well, the thing about Mecca is that there is no waterfront, no where, (apart from pools, perhaps), where bikinis would be normally worn. You ask earlier whether a man without a shirt is considered immodest. The "No shirt, no shoes, no service" policy of many retailers seems to say so, or at the very least, that it is improper. As you yourself equated a lack of a shirt on a man with a bikini on a woman, you can carry that idea over to a bikini on a woman. I myself don't necessarily believe this - I think that there are certain areas in which a bikini or the lack of a shirt is appropriate and others in which it is not. It's all a matter of respect - you don't wear clothing like that in a mosque or a church. I don't always agree with the reasoning that lies behind the stance, but in certain cases I do agree with the end result.

Finally, it would be rather nice if you were a little more respectful. You can disagree all you want, but insults are never appreciated, and indeed, make you seem very childish.
Don't worry Tettleton, I'll answer your question directly and with no nonsense.

"Could a woman walk down the street in Mecca in a bikini?"
Yes. She would then be mobbed, arrested, beaten and probably executed; because many humans in these poorer, religiously extreme regions of the world are more animalistic than many first world people are willing to believe.
youradhere (1345 D)
02 Sep 11 UTC
No, I specifically said in a Park. You're ignoring parts of what I said in order to attack me personally.

But you didn't answer the question. Is a German who is allowed to walk nude in a park more free than an American not allowed to walk nude in a park?

And before you characterize this as a nudist park, realize that it's the largest public park in the city, frequented by mostly fully-dressed residents.

"A man cannot walk around with a leaf covering his groin in New York, unlike in dense forests in Central Africa. By extending your argument, something is wrong with the people and society in New York."

+100

If i decide to bear it all walking down the street in NY Ill be charged with a misdemeanor. Why is it not ok for the saudis to restrict the wearing of a bikini, because western women can do it, but it is ok for for American society to punish full male nudity when other cultures do not.

Perfect post, and the fact that TC completely ignored it and said poor post shows what a complete hack he is.

Could this happen?

Could a woman walk down the street in Mecca in a bikini, and visit her local internet cafe? Whilst there could she use her considerable IT skills to hack into Webdiplomacy and discover Tettleton's true identity and address? Could she then forward this information to a gang of scantily clad former Playboy models, who have recently gained employment as thugs for hire, who will then spend the rest of the week at Tettleton's house giving him a damned good kicking to the beat of Queen's Greatest Hits until he promises never to post on Webdip again?

...in truth, probably not...

But thinking about it is rather fun :).
