Is this anything more than a jobs bill for expensive unionize labor just like the original stimulus bill was a jobs bill for unionized state employees? If you don't work in a union or you own a business that doesn't employ union labor do you exist in Obama's economic world view?

Mind the gap!
Does anyone else get the urge to fill in the holes in your territory? You know those islands of alien colour spoiling your empire. How far will you go - divert an army a move? Two moves?

My megalomania has no room for anyone else, it's the itch I have to scratch.

How much sex is too much sex?
When should I lay off of the sex? Should I slow down when the women lose their individual robotic identities and combine forces to become the Megazord, or is that, instead, the perfect time to finally bang that hag Rita?

I fill in for Draug the other 363 days.
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Sep 11 UTC
You want to take her those two days too? I'd honestly much rather play poker. Think Al Bundy without the kids and you have my home life. Even the sex is boring and a chore.
hellalt (24 D)
07 Sep 11 UTC
of course is normal that sex after many years can be really boring but I guess love replaces it. if neither lust or love (even mixed with boredom or partial hate) are present then what's the point?
SacredDigits (102 D)
07 Sep 11 UTC
Actually, my wife has a much higher libido than me, and it can get annoying at times. I mean, I like sex, and it's usually very interesting sex because she's rather kinky as well, but honestly, once in a while, I do want to do something else with my evenings, and I can't go right to sleep after sex, so it factors into my awful sleep schedule.
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Sep 11 UTC
Oh, we love each other and do things together all the time. It's just that sex has become a boring chore and neither are really interested in it. I'd rather go play with my new lawn tractor out in the back part of our lot (3/5ths of an acre total - about 3/10ths on the back beyond the normal front and back yards) or head over to the casino and make a little playing poker ($500 profit last Friday afternoon) or even work on my new mancave in the basement. Lots more enjoyable things to do around the house with the workshop, mancave, and big ass yard (25,000 square feet - nearly as long as a football field sans the end zones and just over half as wide). So yeah, I love her, but I find the bed is just a place for sleeping or reading now.
hellalt (24 D)
07 Sep 11 UTC
that's why people should be allowed to have a small number of legitimate lovers within the marriage.
btw mancave? tractor? LOL!!

We have a policy for pseudo polyamory. We've never put it into effect, but I do consider it from time to time.

Draugnar, it's at that point that I'd have to think that the notion of a traditional marriage has failed.
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Sep 11 UTC
Dude, when you have a room in a finished basement dedicated to poker, pool, and a bar, it's a fucking *mancave* baby! And they call riding mowers "lawn tractors" when they are over a certain horsepower and can have attachments (I'm getting the snowplow attachment in November and the lawn aerator in March).
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Sep 11 UTC
@Yonni - My medical conditions mean I need "help" getting it up and my wife's full hysterectomy has pretty much left her with no real sexual desire. The marriage hasn't failed. Our bodies have. You shouldn't pass judgement when you don't know all the circumstances behind them. In fact, this year nor last have we had relations of a sexual nature once. But we have had numerous cuddling sessions where we sit on the couch and watch a movie or just go to sleep in each other's arms. This marriage works well, it just has moved beyond the need for sexual intimacy and has develope dinto a more mature physical and emotional intimacy that involves being in each other's presence and knowing we are there for each other.
Yonni (136 D(S))
07 Sep 11 UTC
Ah, that's fair. Just, from the sentences like "is about all I get" and "even the sex is boring and a chore" I gathered that there was some resentment and that you do have interest in having sex - just not with your wife.
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Sep 11 UTC
It's a chore because I have to medicate myself to make it happen and it's boring because she isn't into it anymore.

I am not married (but I am engaged, my 3rd and the last engagement I hope) so I think that healthy sex life is of great importance to any relationship. Nevertheless there is far more important things than sex, and those things keep people in lifetime bonds. I hope we all will have love similar to that of Draugnar talked about in the end.

Oh, what a pathetic article...

"A happier prostate? Some urologists believe they see a relationship between infrequency of ejaculation and cancer of the prostate."

*Some* and *believe*? No concrete evidence. Just "Some urologists believe". The other reasons they list can be accomplished in other ways as well and the argument that ED could be a sign of several conditions, including diabetes? No fucking kidding. I *have* diabetes. It's the cause of my ED.

But honestly... The joy I take in seeing my wife's eyes light up when I surprise her with even the littlest of gifts is more precious than any orgasm I could have gotten from a prostitute.

Oh, hell's yeah. I'm trying to win a nice poker table from Big Slik on ClubWPT as they are expensive, but I think October's home purchase will be one of those 3-in-1 tables (bumper pool, cards/poker, and regular table) with an extra set of four chairs as the tables normally can seat 8.

Hang on... you have a poker basement, Draug? I need to be invited to some poker games!!
Tips for a good sex life - developed during 30+ years of marriage (and no, I wont be answering questions later...)
1. Don't take each other to bed and expect to always have great sex at 10:30 at night. You'll both be tired and want sleep. Instead, take each other to bed mid-afternoon or at 7:30 pm with a glass or 2 of wine and after a light meal - take the wine bottle with you. [This was the advice the vicar who performed our wedding ceremony gave us when we went back to the vicarage for a "chat" after the rehearsal - yes really!]
2. Don't rush making love or do it when you have time pressures or do it when you might be disturbed/discovered or are waiting for a phone call. Take the phone off the hook to and turn off your mobiles too...
3. Don't simply make love once - it's always better the second time.
4. Freshen up beforehand. And I don't just mean use the loo! It may not be romantic to think about, but anywhere your lover might taste you must be scrupulously clean (This applies to both Guys and Girls). [Oh, and girls - please don't spray perfume in the places we'll be licking/tasting you - perfume smells nice but invariably tastes very bitter indeed. Spill a little sweet white wine in those area instead "Oh, I spilt some - you'd better lick it off ... Oops, I spilt some more ..."]
5. Variety is the spice of life. Never be afraid to try something new. And if it only "works" for one of you (and it doesn't hurt/disgust the other), well that's always something to save as a birthday treat.
6. Swap roles. That is, make your lover take charge (assuming she doesn't already). You might be amazed by what she can/will do under those circumstances.
7. (probably most important) Talk to each other! No, really! Talk about what works for each of you and what you (both of you) *think* might work better, then try it (see 5).

Lastly:
8. If you have little kids, when they move from cots (that they can't get out of) to proper beds (that they can), put a small lock on the inside of your bedroom door and teach them to knock first. Why? Because the last thing you need is to suddenly find the main bedroom lights coming on and a small voice by the door saying "Why is Mummy crying?" - Mummy wasn't crying! This really happened - go ahead, laugh - but then ask yourself "how would you explain it?"

@fortknox - I will. We are moving into the house now and next month's purchase is the game table. That will be followed up in January with the bar (November is the snow plow attachment for the tractor and December is Christmas of course). I have up to $750 to spare each month and put any I don't spend aside to apply to the next month's even bigger house/yard/mancave purchase.

#8 is why I have pets, not kids. But you still have to close the door and try to catch them when they are sleeping or they'll sit and whinge at the door. The few times we do anything of that nature, our dog has botten pretty good at going under the bed instead of being on top of it.Too bad kids just don't take the hint, but that's not my problem. Of course, it's been a while so I don't know if he would instinctively go under the bed or initially jump up and have to be put back down on the floor. :-)

+1000 to Speaker toAliens. You are the antithesis to the pathetic Draugnar...and my kindred spirit. I agree with your topical points to the letter, and find them to be very succesful.

As for the answer to the original post, "How much is too much". If you are unmarried, then *any* is too much, especially if you are dating my daughter...and yes, that is unrealistic, I get it and I violated that principle with my wife-to-be in college....so don't kill me. but, once married, there is no such thing as "too much". But there certainly is such thing as "too little"...If you aren't willing to happily give yourself to your spouse (and you know who I am speaking to) then you are pretty much asking your spouse to find it elsewhere. And if you are OK with that....that you are really a despicable human being.

Forcing a draw
Is currently in a gunboat game (http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=65576) where the west has formed a perfect stalemate line against Turkey. However, he/she won't vote for a draw, resulting in a very prolonged game without any end. As there won't be a winner, is there a way to for example a mod to force a draw and end the game so we won't have to fill in the same orders over and over again?
