Austria's Poor Performance
I'll admit, I'm pretty new to playing Diplomacy online. I never thought of Austria as a poor draw, but it seems to get eliminated first in almost every game I've seen on this site, crushed between its three neighbors. I always thought Italy and Austria were a sure thing as allies, but Italy almost always seems to turn on Austria in 1901 here. Anybody got an good theories?

Lol. Krellin, are you trying to hypnotize Socrates?
krellin (80 DX)

You, sir, are an idiot. This is not an attack – it is simply an accurate description of someone arguing something for which he knows nothing about. Your staunch support of something you are willfully ignorant about makes you and idiot.
The demands for a million man protest against the video? the obvious anger? and really do you ever get tired of calling someone an idiot because they disagree with you? and i didn't ignore it, i pointed out a logic flaw - 'you, sir, are an idiot.' wait, i've probably been to the middle east so many times more than you and read up so more about it all than you that you are laughable with your ad hominem. i forgot the part where i denied that there was violence in the middle east? must be me misreading. also, not to be pedantic, but even if all your false points were true that would still not prove i can't make an intelligent statement about anything ever, your exaggeration is typical of someone who has no real depth to their points. and i do know all of that, and i am not acting that way (i'm really tired of your insults), but one it is not a violent culture as you say (a lot of violence does not make for a violent culture), and i'm sorry i just don't like embassies being stormed and people being murdered. (what has the terror point got to do for anything). and i didn't deny any of the OWS violence, and said i didn't like the OWS, what i did say is that it wasn't some crazed violent sprawl as you seem to be pointing towards
If you weren't so uneducated you would know that my name is only incidentaly related to Socrates, but obviously you are not familar with philosophy (or politics, or much in general) so we will ignore that. And I do know a lot about this, I just disagree with you, but call me an idiot if you will. Although you cannot really say it is an accurate description if this is all you have to go on... And what do I have staunch support for? Besides the idea that not all arabs want to kill all westerners?
Back to the original post by Hitler69. Currently the creator of the film is in hiding because he either: didn't expect this, but possibly could have imagined it/didn't expect this and thought that depicting Mohammed as a womanizer and pedophile would be "okay" or "satirical".

Did this film/video start a riot and embassy bombings? Maybe not, but it seems like this has only increased anger with groups (see Islamic radicals) that anger easily.

Don't tease lions, don't poke bears, don't show Mohammed in any form, I really thought it was that easy to understand?
krellin (80 DX)
14 Sep 12 UTC
Moron, I called you Socrates as a short version of your name...I *certainly* was not attributing philosophical knowledge to you. I'll put my college philosophy education against your any day.

Fro starters, you need a course in beginner logic, as you completely lack the ability to construct an argument. get back to me once you complete that.

Your views are so narrow-minded and tainted with pure western media bullshit it is laughable. There is no point in having further discussion with you until you put on some big-boy pants and do a little research to educate yourself on the cultures you are commenting about.

And, again, as for "idiot" - it is an accurate description of someone who supports arguments for which he has no proof, and denies other arguments for which proof has been provided. You, sir, are an idiot.

Can you provide PROOF of demands for a million man march against the video specifically, as opposed to against the west in general? No? Yeah...didnt' think so. You can point to liberal US media pushing the White House lie...but they don't provide proof, either. God you are an idiot.
krellin (80 DX)

Fuck Mohammed....how's that? What the fuck is that matter with these assclowns that they think a cartoon about Mohammed is reason to loot and pillage? And what is worse is all the assclown apologists in the US - Socrates, for instance - who act like this is a credible story, as opposed to just an opportunistic line to hide the fact that Obama's foreign policy is *hidous, when in reality...surprise surprise, a riot on 9-11...is a protest aginast the US in general, not some video. Get real.
krellin (80 DX)

Mohammed must be a tiny, tiny prohpet/god that his people get so angry so easily. Let’s see…the US government has funded all sorts of art denigrating Christ (such as "Piss Christ"), but I never saw Christians torching the Smithsonian…
I was referring to the lack of knowledge, obvious attributing to you more intelligence than you have (if you need explanation of this I will give it to you). My truth tables seem to indicate that your points are so ludicrous there truth is not even contingent (something I will also explain to you if you need me to). I disagree with a lot of the western media points, so really that point needs no further rebuttal. You seem to be so convinced you are right I guess you have no idea how ridiculous you are? And I have proof, and refuted your proof, if it is even worthy of the name proof.

now i wont call you an idiot, as although you probably are one, i think that it is plausible that you are just so biased by your comtemptible position that you cannot bare a semblance to the less idiotic person you really are (again you are probably just an idiot)

My guess would be that the attacks against the American symbols were timed to coincide with the anniversary of 9/11.

So were the peaceful protests against the film.

Simultaneity != causation.
Oh, Krellin's in this thread? The fact that I have him muted is probably what makes this conversation appear so civil and reasoned from where I'm sitting.
krellin (80 DX)

Average -- I would accept your idea -- with the *main* thrust being that the *original* plan was for Anti-US / Anti-Obama protests on 9-11. That the video happened to be out there gives the media a convenient excuse to protect their boy in the White House from being the focal point of the true cause of the riots/protests.

His apology tour at the beginning of his regime was a failure...because bully's abhor weakness, and Obama has been nothing BUT weak..."leading from behind" whatever the fuck that means....<rolls eyes>

Zmaj...so, like, are you an PE butt-buddies? Do you guys jack off on each other, too? Just curious...since you seem to be emulating and admiring him like a little school girl...
I'm just going to say that you failed to respond to me, or my links, and that also the media has no problem reporting anti us protests throughout the world. Also your insults to people on the forum reflect poorly on your character. That's me out of this thread.

Socrates, Krellin won't post sources anymore after I humiliated him for his last attempt. Turns out all his sources come from conservative talk radio and none of them are vetted. :P

Oh, and Krellin? Nobody cares, stop posting.
Socrates, don't let the troll drive you away.

But I have been asking myself for the past few days what could be all the cause of this. There have been demonstrations worldwide, but violence seemingly only occurs in Arabic nations. From my search of the news, there have been protests in Jakarta (Indonesia), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Mauritania, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Amman (Jordan), Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, and Sudan. However, violent protests have only occurred in Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Sudan.

So clearly, there has to be some sort of difference that sets the Middle East apart from the rest of the world, who just burned some effigies of Obama and the American flag and went home for the day. I just don't buy the argument that it has all been over that video. Egypt I can understand that we've supported Mubarak, Yemen I can understand with the drone attacks, but why the hell were the embassies in Sudan attacked? Or the riots in Lebanon (lord help the Pope, who's there for the weekend).

My latest idea on this (its a new one every day) is that after the protests in Cairo and the terrorist attack in Libya (which is the only logical explanation for Libya bending over backwards to apologize when we only send them $2 million a year in aid, while Egypt doesn't go nearly as far to apologize and we give them $1.55 billion) the citizens of other Arab nations saw the attacks on the embassies and 1) Saw the lack of response by local police forces and lack of condemnation by Morsi as a legitimization of attacking them as a response and 2) Said "Hey, the Egyptians attacked the US embassy. Let's one-up them and BURN the embassy in Khartoum!"

Now, said individuals are a network of extremist groups throughout the Arab world, not the majority of people in these nations, but I am likening their mentality to that of a rather stupid frat boy, in that when one frat does an insane stunt or throws a killer party, the girls will go to that frat. In order to get them back to your frat, you have to do something even more insane or throw a better party. Now replace "stunt" with "violent embassy attack" and "party" with "Mass demonstration" and "girl" with "radical Muslims around the world" and that about sums up my opinion on things.
krellin (80 DX)
15 Sep 12 UTC
Yellow, what delusion are you referring to? Sometimes we don't respond because we log off because we have real lives apart from here, dumbass.

And Socrates left because he has no logical reply. He denies actual evidence....as most of you do (yellow...) But believe any inverted info your left-wing professors or biased media pump down your throat. You consistently fail to apply logical to your own arguments.

For example, after decades of terrorism, you morons truly believe that these riots were a spontaneous response to a video NOBODY knew existed until after these events, and which none of you have watched (not have the rioters in nations with low tech density, and restricted internet access....Duhhhh) But the bs story fits your belief, not facts, so you accept it and repeat it. Bunch of morons, all of you.
Yellowjacket (835 D(B))

http://gifsforum.com/images/gallery/stop%20posting
krellin - stop it. Just stop it. Socrates gave you links of several different news sites saying it was in response to the video. There are videos out there of Richard Engels interviewing people in the streets of Cairo, blocks from the US Embassy, who say that the reason they're doing it is because of the video - more specifically, the lack of US response against it.

Then in response to your low tech density claims is the fact that the Arab Spring was organized entirely via Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites. And then there are the facts that 35.6% of people in the Middle East have their own private connection to the internet (behind only Europe, Australia, and the US), there are 96.7 cellphones per 100 people in the Middle East, and the Middle East has one of the highest market adoption rates for smartphones in the world, and Egyptians do more social networking than any other nationality in the world.

Krellin you should post what Talk radio FM 102 has to say about it again - that would be really really strong and credible support for your argument.
