@ghug: Yeah, my only scum tell I would say was that I stopped building cases and just threw accusations based on one or two little things rather than damning cases. Still, I figured that is all I needed because with all the bussing I did throughout the game if it ever came to a 50 - 50 shot it would had been too unbelievable to think I had bussed every single teammate.

Maniac and goldie did a hell of a job of directing lynches while I bussed the crap out of them.

I thought with getting bo we got a lot of town and so I was looking for town all game. And to my read, almost no town distinguished themselves as town whereas at least gold/maniac were giving me something to read

Lurking bystander here. I guess I didn't understand why you guys never lynched goldfinger. You seemed sure he was scum the whole game but kept talking yourselves out of doing it because you thought you'd get more information by keeping him around. Better a bird in the hand than two in the bush, right?

How often does the forum play mafia??

As another interested observer of the last two games, I have to ask why people follow the power roles (confirmed townies) at the end. Both times that has led to town losses. Regular townies have more info, so why aren't they leading the charge?

So, after reading the God thread, I can see how bad a mafia player I am compared to you all haha. Thank god we got the right people killed early.

Gold, If this game proved anything it's that none of us know what we're doing. You played a good game.

Someone said I screwed you guys, but I don't think that's fair. You guys were being dumb and not lynching gold so I decided to throw you off with some bad reads and info right before I got lynched. Mafia deserved to win.

The only thing you said at the end that we paid any mind to after you died was claiming no RB, which helped clear TV. I don't think you screwed us at all.

Is there someone lined up to GM the next game? If not, I would be willing to GM the next game. I would be able to start around May 25th.

Yeah, I was going to GM the next one. Not sure how long a break everyone wants though. Will probably create a sign up thread in the next week or so with it starting at a time useful for me, maybe the last Monday of the month.

I agree with both of the outsiders here. Since I was basically an outsider as well from the very beginning, I have to say that those of you who said following confirmed townies is a town trait and that going against a confirmed townie is a scum trait are delusional. On the face of things, yes, you're right, but when you (confirmed townies) wait until the end of the day to cast your judgment, you force people to follow you blindly. As we see here, you might be confident, but you can still be wrong. When people go against you and give sound reasoning for doing so, it is not a bad thing, so long as their vote is a useful one.

Suckiest mafia player ever

That took 2.5 weeks. I'm guessing that it would be smart to start one at the end of June possibly if people can commit to participating.

Chaqa was third party. Everything he did was legit. No need for him to be town-friendly at all. I was really surprised everyone turned on him so quickly for the lynch. Good play by the Mafia.

I like a break, but three months seems like overkill. If you want more time off, just sit the next one out.
