The problem with betting on sports is that the more you bet, the less the return will be.

For example right now the 49ers are the Favourite to win next weekends superbowl, so betting on the Ravens will give you a greater return on investment. Say I bet 1 trillion dollars on them. Since now the amount of money bet on the ravens is higher then the amount bet on the 49ers, the Ravens would now be considered the favourite to win.

That's why you do moderate bets and you do them at the last minute. Plus, when I do sports betting, I lock in a certain set of odds with my bookie and he has to pay those odds even if the line changes.

I actually had an older version of myself travel back in time and give me this sports almanac containing the outcomes of every major sporting event for the next 50 years. Now at first I didn't believe him, but he turned on the radio and as the announcer proclaimed that one team was seconds away from winning, my other self predicted the other team was about to win in the final seconds. Turned out he was right and the book was legit.
