Get my points off Facebook
Hey all, I've been playing FB Dip for some time (oldschool phpDiplomacy), but have lost interest. Since I'm starting from scratch again here, I was wondering whether it's possible to transfer my thousand odd points from FB Dip to here? It's not the same community, but it is the same platform. Possible or no?

What has Curiosity found on Mars? - A poll (definitely not a +1 scam)
It's common knowledge that this forum is home to some of the most intelligent lifeforms in the Milky Way. To harness this incredible brainpower for the good of mankind, we should use the power of crowdsourcing to predict groundbreaking events in advance, so as to buy people time to prepare for them. By utilizing the best social networking invention ever, the +1, we can accurately conclude which opinion prevails in the webDip community.

The Importance of Being Diplomatic
With all the chest-pounding that goes on around here about who's a better player than who, it seems clear that some people place far too much emphasis on what goes on on this site, to the point of tying their performance to their overall feelings of self-worth.

Looks like my wife will get to go home today!
The tube is out, she has had two liquid meals and is eating her first solid one now. If she handles her turkey and mashed potatoes then she can go home this afternoon.

Well my mom is still in the hospital (she went in yesterday for a blood transfusion) and my Jeep broke down yesterday (the vehicle security module went out) but at least the wife is coming home.

Santaclaus - I'm actually a nice guy at heart, despite appearances to the contrary...and Draug in particular is one of the few truly compassionate, understanding souls around here and I care for his well being.

I would explain further...but I won't.
You misunderstood me. I wished Draug's wife's disease on you. I'm glad his wife is better, Part 1. I'm just hoping you are getting sick, Pat 2.

I fear for the illness that dares to trifle with the kind of woman that can put up with Draug. Poor thing never stood a chance!

Glad things are looking up :)

Ah, Santa, the kind-hearted, compassionate Liberate...always wishing ill and evil upon your enemies. Another fine example of what raging hypocrites you are in reality. No surprise...the truth generally evades you, and that principle is evident in both your words and your actions (which are usually in stark contrast to one another...)

Only one enemy. The lowest piece of slime I've had the misfortune of knowing on the internet, and that i saying something.
krellin (80 DX)
22 Nov 12 UTC
With a good liberal such as yourself, there is *always* a ready excuse as for why you violate your principles. Note, you didn't deny that you violate what you cliam to believe...you simply make excuses as to why. *That* is why you are so despicable.

It's a pleasure to be so judged by you...if you viewed me with any favorability, I would have to question my existence. Know that I stand for most things you despise means I am *solidly* on the correct path.

Santa, I don't generally like Krellin much either, but Draugnar created this thread specifically to give us some good news about his wife's illness. This isn't really the right place for you to pick a fight with Krellin.

Draug - what sort of Jeep? We've got a 2002 Liberty, 4WD with the V6....amazingly fun to drive...*worst* fuel economy *ever*. If it weren't for the financial hit every time I drive it, I would be literally thrilled as the "green house" gases it exudes upon unsuspecting liberals who think it such a cute little ride...mwaa ha ha!
Draugnar (0 DX)
23 Nov 12 UTC
08 Liberty (newer body style - more manly) with the same 3.7 V6. 4x4 with black-powDer coated side tube rails added (Jeep doesn't make them for the Liberty). Yeah, not the most fuel efficient (used to have an 07 Liberty Limited as well for the wife) but it is nearly as capable off road as a Wrangler but with the comforts of the Grand Cherokee. I have been considering trading.ot for.a MB C350
Draugnar (0 DX)
23 Nov 12 UTC
Stupid phone...

Considering the trade for the Mercedes because my mother in law has a hard time.getting in and out. And the C350 can be gotten in 4WD.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))
23 Nov 12 UTC
I'm surprised to hear that you'd be replacing the Jeep for that reason. My 85yo grandmother much prefers her Grand Cherokee to sedans.
Draugnar (0 DX)
23 Nov 12 UTC
The Liberty is hard to get in and out of the backseat and my mother in law has a hard time stepping up even for the front especially as the 08-12 Liberty has side airbags so no hand hold on the pillar. But I may just buy the Mercedes and keep the Liberty for the snow and ice and for some off roading fun. I used to have an 05 Grand Cherokee and it was easier to get in and out as it actually had less ground clearance than the Liberty and was old enough it still had hand rails on the pillar. I would still have it if I hadn't totalled it in a bad ice storm.

New Gunboat
So, as was mentioned in the Last Person to Post thread, my husband and I are looking to play a gunboat game together. Obviously there'd be no meta-gaming, but wanted you guys to be aware. So who's up... it would be relatively low stakes, WTA and no quicker then 24 hour phase.. can be longer phases if needed.

So any takers..

Didn't get a third build.
In the game http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=104456, I am South Africa. I should have gotten three builds this spring. I had it set up to do a Fleet in San (antarctica), a fleet in South Africa, and a army in Namibia. The two fleets were built correctly, but the army was not built. I had the options for all three and I am positive I had it set up right, but only two were built. Please fix this.
