And let's not forget Turkey's feat. He was down to one SC in 1904 and somehow rose to 5 SCs in 1912. It ain't over till it's over.

That was a good one. Frustrating, but good.

Russia *almost* wipes out Turkey, then gets eviscerated by a couple of roaming Italian armies, until he is basically living as an expat in Turkey. Meanwhile, Turkey returns from over(Black)sea with a single fleet and rebuilds Turkey into a major power at the end. Crazy.

Turkey's resurgence, plus Austria's lack of any fleets is probably what kept Austria from soloing. Maybe my preemptive attack helped too, but it sure was tough to turn away from that dastardly annoying France once I had him in a serious bind. Sure enough he came back after me. That made my head spin. Then Russia going nuts there at the end, what was the point of that?

And I almost forgot. The most amazing thing at all....NO NMR's or CD's!!!!

Yeah makes you wonder why the hell guys want to cheat, it is so much more fun playing properly. I thought at one time it was to amass points to buy into games, but heck this was only a 35 pointer, and a gem at that.

Seen to bitto many turkey solo's in my recent gunboat games and a not so great performance of Russia. Decided to go all in for turkey, hoping that everyone would let me, as bacially no country can really fight a strong turkey well, so it could be in the benefit of all. Almost succeeded in it if it weren't for mis-guessing twice. For example a hold in sev instead of trying to bounce rum would have been enough, and with turkey gone, I could have had a very different game. Then again when I tried to rebuild in warsaw, every time my extra SC in the south vanished. Really fun to watch the italian/austrian fight though. One turn later it would've been a 6-way, but by hanging on so long I think England deserved to be part of the draw too. Frustrating at times when the unusual tactics fails to payoff just by 1 or 2 wrong guesses, but still a lot of fun!
