Obama Orders More Deaths
It sounds outrageous at first glance, but my President, Barack Obama, just sentenced Americans to die needlessly today by signing higher CAFE standards so US cars will get more gallons per mile.
Study after study shows that CAFE standards killed between 40,000 and 125,000 Americans and crippled 350,000-625,000.

"Yonni, are "transparent and least well supported" code words for a report that just blew your opinions to shreds.

To claim that signing 54+ a gallon CAFE standards isn't ordering needless deaths is intellectually indefensible."

I don't know the fancy Latin words for it, but I'm pretty sure that this isn't actually a rebuttal to an argument. In layman's terms, I'd say that you're slinging insults and chirping the same old bull crap in an attempt to avoid answer the question.

Why did you provide us with reports that refute and belittle your argument? Did you not read them or are you just an idiot?

I'm not trying to pick and choose the data to build an argument but, given the information that you have provided, one has to show humility in our understanding of the correlation between fuel consumption and car fatalities. There is insufficient evidence to suggest, as you have, that "Obama Orders More Deaths."

Yonni, you didn't put forth an argument so how could it demand a rebuttal.
Calling a study you don't like "transparent and least well supported" isn't an argument.
Now if you were able to take specific points from the studies and provide contradictory evidence from other studies that would be an argument.

I will continue to sling insults at idiotic posts. It's exactly what they demand, to be identified for exactly what they are.

You don't pick any data that I've seen. You simply chastise what you opinion doesn't agree with and celebrate what it does agree with.

You mention "our understanding?" What an odd phrase for an individual to use.

So feel free to believe that their is no correlation between fuel consumption standards that force cars to become lighter in light of the dearth of technology to meet the idiotic standards any other way.

Like most big government advocates Yonni human life doesn't really matter.
CAFE standards sacrifice thousands of lives every single year on the hypocritical altar of false environmentalism and big government hubris.

Obama sentenced untold thousands to death when he didn't have the intelligence or integrity to say no to the ridiculous new CAFE standards he signed.

It will be the poor that suffer because the wealthy will simply keep buying bigger, safer cars.

OK, as most other people have discovered. It is very frustrating to have a discussion with you so I will leave it after this post.

"You don't pick any data that I've seen. You simply chastise what you opinion doesn't agree with and celebrate what it does agree with."

Yes I did. I read the reports and provided quotes from them to challenge your statement. You ignored the quotes.

"You mention "our understanding?" What an odd phrase for an individual to use."
It is odd but it's often the phrasing that people in the scientific community use. *My* understanding of the matter would have to be even more humble.

Fortunately, you don't have the courage to use your real name on this website. If any of your clients read your drivel, I'm sure they'd be extremely embarrassed.

You didn't post anything in regards to the article I posted from Lexis Nexis outside of your empty " "transparent and least well supported" dismissal.
So now Yonni you are a member or spokesman for the "scientific community?"
My God, why would I use my real name around idiots who are too helpless to get what they want out of life and whine like children?
How stupid.
I'll keep signing the checks Yonni and cashing them as well.
I simply refuse to suffer fools or to put up with indefensible intellectual ideas.
This is why I'm successful. My partner gives me all the dirty jobs that others are too scared to handle. I tackle them with relish.
That's the way you get ahead, demolishing the opposition when they are wrong.
I don't force them into believing something that is incorrect, but when they do I'm merciless.

A "Super-Short" Story
I once submitted the following super-short story. It was word-count limited, and so the idea is that every word and thought must count. The idea is to give a quick scene that evokes and image, and allows the reader to create a whole back-story on their own...And now:

Question about retreats
Hey I was under the impression that if army 1 bounced with army 2 in territory A, but Army 1 was forced out of territory B by an Army 3, that army 1 could retreat to territory A. Yet, in a game situation this doesn't happen? Can someone explain this to me?

Convoy Errors
I'm currently playing a game - http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=64585 and I can't put orders in to convoy a unit. I could do it last turn, but when the UI changed, this problem started. I'll put in "convoy" an army to "_____" from "_____" and as soon as I put in the last setting, it resets everything and says "orders not completed" when I try and ready. Help?
