What's the difference between oli and goon? I played on goon but not on oli. Does oli have Chaos? If so, why join goon instead of oli?

"Goondip was the 2nd site that used webdip variants.
1st was http://dip.xbsd.kr JayP made the first webdip-version that was able to load a variant. 2nd was goondip. Gilgatex added quite a lot of features (and variants) to the webdiplomacy code. He did many deep code changes and added many cool features.
After kestasjk added official variant-support gilgatex didn't had the time to port all his features back to the official webdip version. So I started porting my variants first, than did gilgatex variants and now we add completely new ones.

"They" didn't ban me. Just one moron banned me. And that because he couldn't handle a sarcastic (not offensive) comment about a private game he wouldn't let me join.
To be exact I asked to join a world map variant game (17 players). During that time the site had about 30-40 members total. I asked to join and he replied "all places are reserved for my friends". I told him "first you need to make some friends" and that was it. ban. How more immature could someone be to ban for a reason like that? That behavior got him into my supreme idiocy list. :)

The only webdip clone that I have tried is playdiplomacy (its a clone but with major cosmetic differences). The main reason I haven't returned is the ordering system. You click on the map, which sounds good in theory, but in fact it can be unresponsive and quite frustrating.
Which site is the best for playing other maps? Would it be olidip?

Goondip had the UN-worldmap for a while, for 34 players. I'd love to play that one again once.

Actually I am forgetting facebook diplomacy. I played there before coming here. This is way better.

Hellalt, knowing you, somehow I suspect that the particular comment you just mentioned there was *not* the only reason you banned. Just sayin... ;)

(That being said, unless you did your apeshit-crazy swearing thing again it probably wasn't justified)
