I'm there too.
I just spend about 2 mins per day working, buying weapons, training, joining battles and going to the hospital (in that order).
It's actually really boring but since it's only 2mins/day I don't mind doing it.

I think the format here is pretty good, you don't HAVE to be online unless you have signed up for a game, you can create your own private game with your friends if you want, basically it is whatever you make of it, you get more games if you want to spend more time playing...

and each on is the same but still interesting because the players are different, or each country is different.

I don't think eRepublic really offers the same kind of experience. Each to their own, i got bored of eRepublic because i've seen it done so many times before...

It's pretty unique. You only have to do a few things everyday, but other than that you're free to pursue your career. I've talked with Romanian, Polish, Swedish, Chinese and on and on the list goes! It's a great game!
