Why we love Webdiplomacy.net
I like this website because people here are unique.

I appreciate that this forum is smart and intimidating. I have always been labelled an idiot or a genius and here its amusing how I am somehow both.
I wanna apologize though for being rude and deliberately misleading to this community. I also wanna say this site has already given me some friends I want for life.

This is certainly considered forum spam. When I open my forums tab and have upwards of 3 of these threads all made by the same person that is spam. This would be akin to my following this thread with a "Creating a string of non-misleading threads" and a "Creating a string out of leading threads."

The Denmark Thread
So here we can discuss why Denmark has been named the happiest nation on the planet every year since the early 2000's. Lets begin.

Denmark has small work weeks, happy populace, low pollution, free healthcare, higher levels of satisfaction of self, and is the go to nation of choice for Bernie Sanders supporters and liberals alike to taut as an example of the perfect utopia.

According to Psychology studies, Denmark continues to outperform all other countries in major happiness metrics by boasting 20 dollar per hour minimum wages, the power of Unions, and the sense of belonging that happy little danes feel by being a part of these Labor unions.
brainbomb (290 D)
19 Mar 16 UTC

Denmark has among the highest levels of union density in the world at about 70% of workers. In the United States, by comparison, only about 11% of workers belong to unions. This is not a coincidence vis-à-vis happiness: unions help to produce a greater level of happiness, and to help it be distributed in a more equitable manner, including to those who are not themselves union members.

There are indeed many reasons (link is external) to believe that unions promote better lives, not just for their members, for everyone, by helping to produce and sustain an equitable and just society of shared prosperity.

Unions, in conjunction with progressive public policies, produce, in sum, Denmark--the happiest country in the world. It is in that sense that Denmark does indeed provide a helpful map toward a better society.

Funny, because if you ask anyone that has ESCAPED the worker's tax paradice of denmarkistand, they will call it a living fucking hell.

So I guess as long as you are blissfully ignorant as to what the real world of free market capitialism has to offer, Denmark if aw-w-w-w-w-ww--e-some!!! Right up until you understand exacltlt how hard the government officials (who live under their OWN version of the rules) live....

You see....every now and then, instead of being a fuckiing moronics SHEEP, you actually have to engage your intellect and evaluate whether or not whatever the people promoting their shit are sying is true or not.

TRUTH is....socialist fucing Denamrk SUCKS.....unless you are seeking to be a slave to the state with no desire for any sort of personal advancement.

Put....You go ahaead and stick your fingers in your ears and ignore that.

funniest shit is...all you fucking little retarded wanna-be-socialists are ALWAYS MOSTLY compliaingi about how much the top-tier 1% earners have....i.e. you WANT to have equal status with the 1%....EXCEPT....ONCE youtr fucking socialist upotia in enacted, THERE WON'T BE A 1%....and the ideal existence your crave to share WON'T EXISTS.

You stupid fucking selfish and LAZY asshole don't grasp that.

If you want the benefits of the top 1%, you actually have to WORK YOUR ASS OFF to get there....not bitch and complain and demand it be given to you ***just because***......fucking retarded moron.

Here in my 3rd world country, labor unions have indeed a history of becoming corrupt mafias that help control workers. Of course, it should not be that way, and there are actually some exceptions. But it happens. I'd guess this does not happen in Denmark cos there are other factors that help there.

Happy countries have no reported cases of STDs and life threatening illness. No on has ever died from cancer in Denmark for example and all you can conclude from this is that social democracies are a life giving spring. Denmark also invented pacifism. The notion that being nonviolent makes mother earth happy.

Brainbomb, Krellin is a troll that takes an ultraconservative stance because the board is mostly liberal. He doesn't identify with any party because his utopia would be a libertarian government with no regulations whatsoever. I am interested to know if he believes in regulations on social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. That would be incredibly hypocritical.

Krellin, it's hard to take you seriously when you can't use correct grammar while calling everyone else morons. Let's break down your post into paragraphs.

Your rant about Muslims had nothing to do with the conversation. You pretended it was an analogy, but it was really just a chance to strike out at a culture different than your own, an idea that seems to scare the living crap out of you.

Sheep, blah blah blah, engage intellect, blah blah blah. Nothing of any substance whatsoever, just filler.

Here, in the third paragraph we finally find your thesis. Socialism is bad because it prevents people from achieving the same level of success as other systems because people are slaves to the state. You seem to be confusing socialism with communism, and you mention nothing about the actual point of this thread- whether people are happy in such a system or not- but at least you have taken a step towards making a point, though it's not very relevant.

A random word and repeating back my comment. *Sigh*

Here we find some substance for your disagreement. You postulate that all those who advocate socialism are not interested in socialism but discontented with capitalism because they have not worked hard enough to become one of the top earners in this system. What you fail to grasp is that some people aren't interested in having more money than they could ever spend. Some people are much more interested in changing the world for the better and derive their happiness and feelings of success in that way than by what is in their bank account. Some people would be happy to pay higher taxes if it meant the betterment of society as a whole.

All socialist are lazy, selfish, and assholes.

The way you get into the top 1% is by working harder. This is impossible for anyone advocating socialism because as postulated before, all socialists are lazy, selfish assholes.

If this is satire, you're a tremendous satirist. If not, my breath is wasted on you. In the current capitalist system practiced by America, greed and corruption are rampant in both politics and the economic system. I don't think that's a good thing. I think that will lead to the downfall of this country. In our current capitalist system, I am doing fairly well. I am very involved in politics, and I am educating myself beyond the point to which I am already educated. I have the ability to break into the top 1% if I so choose, but I'll more likely use my education to make myself economically comfortable, perhaps within the top 10% and practice as much social work as I can to lift others who weren't given my privilege into a place where their children have greater opportunities than they did. I'll likely be working to help keep the American dream alive because that will be morally satisfying to me.

You keep looking at the 0's in your bank account. Let me know when you're satisfied, because I'd get board really quick looking at numbers all day.

and for an explanation as to why this is happening a variety of factors come into play. for example more females smoke cigarettes in Denmark than any other european country.

I dont think it changes the overall happiness of the country. If anything it is a testament to the personal habits people make in countries with a wider range of affordable healthcare.
Deaths by violent weapons in Denmark are roughly 15 or fewer gun deaths a year as compared to the US which has 9000 or more gun homicides a year.

Um, well this got awkward, these facts arent in dispute at all. Denmark has been the leading cancer ridden country among both men and women despite consistently also being the happiest country. @leon "I'm sure I've posted Pew statistics showing that Chinese people are the happiest with their government, which has opened up China to the free market and reaped the benefits from doing so."

You dont actually expect us to swallow that tripe do you? The people in North Korea are also very very happy, yes... very happy. Dont confuse yourself with the facts. The statistics being used to determine happy countries do not concern themselves with naivery. If they did, the Republican party during the Bush Admin would have reported living in the happiest magical place on earth.

Well in the UK, Denmark, and the US, smoking and alcohol consumption are pretty high. These habits are not necessarily indicative of a depressed country at all however. Eat drink smoke and be merry could be applied to countries with higher levels of satisfaction of life as a form of self destructive libation. I could see it both ways. I mean in Russia for example maybe drinking anti-freeze and stabbing someone is a reflection of a positive happiness level with their country, who knows.
