I would've picked Gaborik over Williams for the Conn Smythe if it'd gone a couple more games and the Rangers still lost in, say, 7 though, I might've given it to Lundqvist...40+ stops at least twice in the 5 games, took his team to double OT twice...turnovers and an offense that couldn't figure out that you can't beat cute with Quick, you have to shoot, get the rebound, and shoot again, point blank, pretty passes will NOT cut it against the best goalie in the world.

Two years out of three the Kings are crowned...one more, and that's a dynasty. :/

And they have the makings for it too.

Damn...didn't think I'd feel this bitter when it wasn't my team, but damn...the Rangers sans Lundqvist and a couple others were a huge disappointment...

The Ducks AND Blackhawks played LA closer.

Leafs we're 3rd place in the Eastern Conference (behind only Boston and Pittsburgh) with 14 games to go in the regular season. I have a lot more to complain about then you guys.

I'd like to see shaq play hockey

There are plenty of past NBA players that are tough as nails. Shaq, Michael, Isaiah, Reggie... couldn't knock those guys over if you tried. Not today.

Knocking someone over on ice is a bit easier. Shaq...on ice skates, I'd pay to see that.

Regarding toughness, I don't know any other sport where a player breaks his leg and gets up and finishes his shift. Hockey is the toughest sport.

My Ducks AND the Blackhawks took the Kings to 7.

My Ducks were 7 seconds away from winning Game 1 before it was tied up, so 7 seconds from potentially flip-flopping that win and maybe the Series...

The Blackhawks went to OT in Game 7 and lost on a deflection.

Game 7s vs. Losing in Game 5...

7 seconds away/a lucky bounce in OT from winning the SERIES...

You went down 3-0, and lost in 5 games.

Both the Ducks and Blackhawks (especially the Blackhawks) played the Kings closer.

The Kings played incredibly in the clutch (I mean *in-fucking-credibly*) and probably had a little bit of luck go their way in the postseason. The Rangers didn't play them any worse than either the Blackhawks or the Ducks and he could probably put together a decent argument to say they played them closer over each game than the others. If you're looking at only number of games, you're missing the point.

Thank you bo_sox. Now, circumstances forced me to only really watch the first two games of the series, but those first two games in LA were played incredibly close and into overtime. Rangers could have just as easily flown home up 2-0 in the series as they did down 0-2

Half and inch and the Rangers could have easily been up 3-2 at the moment.
