I intned to use WebDiplomacy to teach a high school class.
I'm considering using my school's computer labs to allow my students to play web diplomacy. Any pointers as to rule adjustments or things to watch for while I do this?

Multis who get banned
I have a proposal. When someone is banned for being a multi, I think their account should show which account(s) they were a multi of. What does everyone think?

Adding new maps
What is the process to get maps added to this site? I'm new here, but I've been a fan of Diplomacy for a while, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are maps that can be played other than the standard WW1-Europe map.

Why Americans Hate the Media
17 year old article, but I feel that a lot of it still rings true today. A long read, but very interesting.

Pope Francis and Atheists
In recent comments, Pope Francis called atheists, "precious allies" in their efforts "to defend the dignity of man, in the building of a peaceful coexistence between peoples and in the careful protection of creation." I'm curious what both Catholics and atheists think about these comments.

Hey krellin
Do you think President Obama was born in the United States? Yes or no. No need to comment on "evidence," just a simple one word answer. Anything else will solidify our perception of you as a crazy conspiracy theorist.

@Gunfighter- sorry my reply is so late... Yes, I know Teddy Roosevelt only RAN for a second term... but Technically, he served 2 terms(Finished McKinley's term(3.5 years of it) and one he was elected in), and then tried to serve a 3rd term. So while he only RAN twice, had he won it would have been 3 terms. Also, note this is NOT an attack against Theodore Roosevelt, He is actually one of my favorite presidents. Just a note that FDR was not the first to go after 3 terms. Just the first to succeed in it.

Reagan would have been in office for more than two as well. Maybe even Nixon had he not gone through Watergate. I couldn't say for certain on Kennedy, not enough of a sample, but he looked promising too.

His approval rating was in the high 60s in the last year of his second term.

And when you look at Gerald Ford's approval rating retaken in 2006, he hit 60% too. In 1980, when Carter's term was ending, Ford's approval rating was at 55% while Carter's was at 33%. It fluctuates based on the situation at that point, and at the end of his second term, people were happy with the economy and standard of life as well as his (attempts at) compromise in Congress, so yeah, he could have. I just think it could have gone badly.

Either way, would be better than Bush I guess...

Gunfighter, philcore ably responded to your objection, but lots of racists have black friends. Booker T. Washington is a special case -- putting on a public face of accommodating Jim Crow for the mutual benefit of black and white (though his behinds-the-scenes behavior was a little different). And you can say Godwin and all, but here is a quote from TR:

" The expansion of the peoples of white, or European, blood during the past four centuries which should never be lost sight of, especially by those who denounce such expansion on moral grounds. On the whole, the movement has been fraught with lasting benefit to most of the peoples already dwelling in the lands over which the expansion took place.""

Okay, a little white exceptionalism is different than straight up bigotry.
