(I dislike like that non-gentlemanly and non-sportsmanlike attitude dispicable, all over a few D's ... and that points to the terrible concept of the D's to start with, real bad idea if you ask me!!!!)

Basically Dharm lost a live game because of an allies CD and he is bitching about it and left.

yeah, France and Austria kinda screwed that game up. Then again, Maybe TheCzec diplomatically convinced them to hold. I hear he can work some serious magic in the press.

FYI--I had draw and cancel up for over 4 years as is my norm. After 4 years, I take the draw and cancel down. I left the draw up a little longer hoping that Turkey and France would draw, but they didn't. At some point I said screw it and went for the kill. Then Turkey dropped. It was an easy, cheap win I admit. England and Germany could have tried a little harder to eliminate France while I eliminated Turkey. That would have solved the issue.

Well then how in the hell would his suggestion even work? How do you know in a 5 min game that after a single NMR move that he just didn't have to use the restroom or something, and he is going to be back before he CDs? And how do you discuss and vote in the moves with no press? Sounds like a bad idea to me.

Dharm NMR'd 4 times in that game. Austria started with a CD and Russia and France kept dropping throughout the game. I was worried that there were multis, but figured if there were then playing on after 4 years of draw/cancel up was the best thing to do.

I feel partially responsible as I nodded off as old people do on Sunday afternoons after dinner and cider, I'm awake now though and will dedicate my next game to Dharm by pretending he is Germany and help him win the game, it's the least I can do.

You fell asleep again Nigee? And how old is old? I want to know when I'll not be able to stay awake after dinner and cider.

As Dharma the Gunboater has sadly departed can we turn this thread into a Book of Remembrance for him. He was a very popular member of our flock, he joined us on 15th July 2009 and in his 3 years 6 months here he played 698 games winning 78.
He made 1837 forum posts and was liked 40 times, he also found 32 posts he liked in that time. He only Resigned 9 times. He leaves behind in his will no on-going games, 1516 of which 991 are available and has -10 in play. (WTF, do those points stats make any sense to anyone?)
He will be sorely missed by forum members, please post messages of sympathy and condolence for our recently departed brother-in-arms.
I hope he has gone to a better, more peaceful place i.e. Switzerland

Nigee - the snow's great isn't it? I wanted to go to primrose hill with some mates to see if we could sled using trays from the cafeteria, but they all bitched about the walk :(

The guy is ruining a really good 1400 point game which even MadMarx came down from Mount Olympus to join. It's a bummer.

Yeah. I should have done more background on him before I sent him the password. It would be just swell if Nigee covered for him to help recover some of the damage he created by dropping out of that game!

And Tom came down from Mount Olympus as well.

At time I may seem up in the clouds, but I'm certainly not up at Mount Olympus =P
