Uncertified software installed in voting machines in 39 Ohio counties
Ohio 2012 may be a repeat of Georgia 2002 and Ohio 2004.

I found it!
Finally, I found the Diplomacy Board Game, only £5. Not bad

And now for the real challenge: finding six people in your neighborhood who are ready to spend many hours over that board.

indeed that is a challenge, I have had the board game for over 10 years, I only started a game twice and never finished one.

In the year or so which I have owned mine I have managed to have 2 games with 7 people, 1 with 6 and about 6 or so with 3-4 people.

Never finished a game though, closest we have seen was 16 centres I think. Usually a clear leader by the time we finish (4-5 hours).

But yeah organisation is tough :P

My Board is about 40 years old. It's been played about a dozen times, so about three times a decade.

However now that I am at university, and all my friends went to different ones, I can't see me having any live board games of diplomacy for a good few months aha. Got my board under my bed at uni. :P Might play a bit more on this site then.

Yep I got a board for Christmas last year. It still hasn't been used.
University should be an excellent place to get F2F games going. All those smart people sitting around with little or no real world obligations. Find or start a game club or Dip club. Play with people in your dorm, co-op, frat, Bible study group, intramural sports team, whatever. If you want live F2F games, university should be one of the best breeding grounds.

The Redskins Rule--RGIII vs. Cam Newton for the Presidency!
17 out of the last 18 elections it's been the case that if the Redskins win their last game before the election, the incumbent president wins; if they lose, the challenger wins.
SO! Months of campaigning and billions of dollars comes down to RGIII and the Redskins on Sunday...vs. the 1-6 Panthers and a slumping Cam Newton. ...Sorry, Romneyites...HAIL TO THE REDSKINS, HAIL VICTORY... ;)

An act of God might affect the election
http://pjmedia.com/weathernerd/2012/10/25/hurricane-sandy-could-seriously-disrupt-the-election/

Mother Nature could intervene in a big way, especially if voter turnout in Philadelphia is suppressed. Can you say Pennsylvania (and the election) swings to Romney?

Quickest win ever?
What is the shortest amount of time it can take for a country to win the game? I'm assuming EVERYTHING goes accordingly and no one stops that country. What is the shortest amount of times (in seasons) and which country would I have to be?
