Uncertified software installed in voting machines in 39 Ohio counties
Ohio 2012 may be a repeat of Georgia 2002 and Ohio 2004.

The Redskins Rule--RGIII vs. Cam Newton for the Presidency!
17 out of the last 18 elections it's been the case that if the Redskins win their last game before the election, the incumbent president wins; if they lose, the challenger wins.
SO! Months of campaigning and billions of dollars comes down to RGIII and the Redskins on Sunday...vs. the 1-6 Panthers and a slumping Cam Newton. ...Sorry, Romneyites...HAIL TO THE REDSKINS, HAIL VICTORY... ;)
2ndWhiteLine (2611 D(B))

You do know that a black president has never been reelected in all of American history, right? That's quite a precedent.
obiwanobiwan (248 D)
03 Nov 12 UTC
True, but it also bears mentioning that exactly 0% of Mormon candidates have won as well.

Either way, we're making history somehow! ;)
Gunfighter06 (224 D)

RGIII is overhyped. Andrew Luck got screwed out of the Heisman.
akilies (861 D)

This is why I always say the final candidates should just box it out for president
And the one time the Redskins weren't an indicator, it was when the dodgy, dodgy shit that went down in Ohio happened in 2004.

Just curious, is there a reason you don't mention the Redskins are 3-5 having lost their last two games?
obiwanobiwan (248 D)
03 Nov 12 UTC
^Mainly because 3-5 beats -16, really...

So both have losing records, but anyone here thinking the Redskins are a worse team coming in than the Panthers and have a worse record clearly hasn't been watching their football this season...tsk tsk... :p

PE probably thinks Carolina is better, similar to how he thinks the Beavers are better than the Ducks...
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
03 Nov 12 UTC
I would say Cam is better than RG3 as a quarterback and RG3 is a better athlete than Cam. If Cam were RG3's size, he wouldn't be able to run at all.
If, and its a big If.
If the panthers could have scored on their final possession or stopped another team, they would have won at least 4 games
Carolinas close games
@Tampa Bay L16-10 - shouldn't have won
@Atlanta L30-28 - terrible defense when atlanta was on the 1
Seattle L16-12 -on the 1 with 3 minutes to go
Dallas L19-14 - no flag thrown on obvious pass interfernce with 2 minutes
@ Chicago L 23-22 -should have won

^Which is maybe the most ironic lyric of them all, considering, well...

The natives really weren't fighting FOR D.C. to keep winning, were they? LOL

(Which is understandable as, well, those battles were at their expense...and the expense of their nations...and land...and cultures...and languages...and homes...and lives...but they're fighting for old D.C. now, apparently!)

LOL, I kid, I kid...

"Don't worry. Team Obama is hard at work winning the election by voter fraud and voter intimidation."

In contrast to the republican candidate who is banking on the destruction caused by a hurricane to win him Pennsylvania.
Putin33 (111 D)

Or the Republican candidate actively telling employers to force their employees to vote for Romney or else face repercussions. Or the Republican candidate's whose machine has been busily pushing voter ID laws in states across the country to suppress the vote of low income people. Or the Republican candidate who is having his operatives across the country tell people the wrong election day or giving out misinformation about early voting.

By the way, your candidate who blasted 47% of Americans for being moochers who pay zero income tax? He paid no taxes at all for 15 years.

Andrew Luck had a shitty senior year. Numbers wise he shouldn't have even been invited as a finalist.

"By the way, your candidate who blasted 47% of Americans for being moochers who pay zero income tax? He paid no taxes at all for 15 years."

...And those loopholes exist for him because of liberal-ass, pansy-ass, dumb-ass government sponsored organizations that want to promote the charitable without being so bold as to actually CUT THE DAMN TAXES. Hell, if Romney wants to MAKE MONEY OFF THE GOVERNMENT, more power to him! If y'all are gonna make it so that he CAN do it, I don't think it's your place to judge him for doing it.
Putin33 (111 D)
05 Nov 12 UTC
What? So you're blaming liberals for the special privileges churches like the LDS gets or for Romney being a super rich tax cheat? Right. Of course you are.

Why would you make this thread before the game ended?
King Atom (100 D)
05 Nov 12 UTC
They don't need those tax breaks! You're making it almost as if the government itself is appropriating funding for those organizations. It's a liberal concept at heart, but sure, I wouldn't be surprised if Nixon himself set them up.

Ten things Romney would not end or even DARE to touch that cause huge deficits!
10. Tax Breaks for the upper 10%
9. War on Drugs task forces
8. FEMA
7. Student Loans
6. Medicare
5. Social Security
4. Subsidies to Big Oil
3. Tax breaks to Churches, Religious property
2. Farm Subsidies
1. Weapons, Jets, Carriers, bases, Troops, and yes, even wars
brainbomb (290 D)

Please keep in mind this is in no way saying Obama would end any of these either...

"Why would you make this thread before the game ended?"

My sister's a Carolina Panthers fan...

So after watching her team blow it week after week, I felt it was a Joe Namath-sure guarantee!

I also heard this same storyline played out that if Tampa bay scored 14+ in week four that the incumbent always loses. Lets try basing our future predictions on fact.

Even if Romney wins Florida, Colorado, Virginia, Iowa and New Hampshire. he still loses
