Question as a noob
Greetings gentlemen, I have a little question about adjudication that happened in last game. gameID=90431 It happened in A03, campaign of Greece.
The result was that Italy occupied Greece which I thought it could be a bounce off if I remember rule book right. Anyway, the influence was really small but I'm just merely curious. Thanks for your time if you did take a look at this. :)

Is there any leagues or Tourneys on this site?
I saw the World Cup thread, and am envious I did not get a chance to play in that, but is there other such events here that I could become part of that are starting soon, or going on now that need replacements?

It's nice when everybody's a pussy. Then you can choose when to draw.

Its nice when a major power CDs, and everyone has draw up but the one power to benefit the most....*cough*

that game was quite back and forth.

For the first time, I had loads of fun playing England. Germany was so confused that I chose to attack him instead of France or Russia that he recovered only at the end.

France left at 1906, but I still saw no reason for drawing, since that loser (brainbomb) noticed he was about to lose Brest and probably Portugal and Paris at my hands, so he cowardly resigned. That's not a CD in my book.

Anyway, it was a fun game, too bad everyone chickened out and turned against me for not drawing.

I was just thinking that things were becoming interesting again. I almost pulled off the draw there.

And look who's calling us pussies. It's the guy who calls the game the very FIRST move things didn't go perfectly.
Askari Ali (539 D)
31 May 12 UTC
The game was an obvious stalemate and wasn't going to be going anywhere in then ext 4 hours. The only reason you didn't call draw when the rest of us did was because you thought you could take advantage of CDing. It had nothing to do with you being any "braver" than the rest of us so get off your high horse.

good game SD. I screwed up one time where I should have got warsaw a turn earlier (after i got sevastopol) Cost me dearly, as I wouldhave got Moscow also if I had not botched that move up.

Pleasure playing with you by the way Stressedlines. Great to see an A/I alliance last the course.

Askari, thanks for being so loyal there when things got botched up early for you.

I saw SD open with a Jugger sign, which the Russian seemed to accept, and you stayed the course (thank god) with me.

Cspeik was about to gain the North sea, which is why the Draw sign got hit fast...lol

Askari, the other night I played Austria and the Czech was italy, and we played it to the end also. We actually gobbled turkey up in that game, but SD is a higher quality opponent than that Turkey was.

It was nice to have the venice/trieste corridor clear and not much worries. I saw you move to venice tehre late in teh game, but I assumed it was just a faster way to get to Piedmont, and I was right.
Askari Ali (539 D)
31 May 12 UTC
Yeh it was an interesting one. I was confident you weren't going after me (except for a couple of wobbles when I bounced myself in Venice) that meant I could focus on the west, and as I knew France wouldn't get through I thought I might aswell just be patient, stick with just the 4 SCs and see if anything opened up. Tried to give germany a hand early on but we never managed to link up.
Zmaj (215 D(B))
31 May 12 UTC
Stressedlines, you call France at that stage a "major power"? LOL. Everybody's a major power then. And you're right about North Sea, I screwed up over there so I used the fact that yall were a bunch of pussies. You lot wanted to draw even before France left. Pussseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I put the draw up with italy actually. I was sink or swim with him. As Austria, Especially lined up against a really good Turkey (Did not know it was SD, but I knew it was a good player) I hope to just get out fo the game with partof my a$$ attached.

all 7 countries were major powers still. Nobody was wobbling.
Askari Ali (539 D)

Zmaj who are you trying to kid? You didn't want to draw because you thought you would be able to take advantage of France CDing.
Zmaj (215 D(B))
31 May 12 UTC
Oh boy. Now I know why the intelligent bunch in this game didn't have more than a thousand points, except for that loving fucker SplitDiplomat and me. You're all soft. Grow some balls.
cspieker (18223 D)
31 May 12 UTC
Yes thanks for the help Italy. We would've hooked up on Marseilles there in Spring 1902 but France outguessed us. Then, of course, England attacked me instead. Probably a pretty good decision, he almost pulled it off.

In the past half-dozen or so gunboats I've played as Germany I first opened very anti-French. That just wasn't working out so I then switched to the boring/neutral Den,Kie,Ruh. THEN finally in this game I decide to do something just a little differently and I barge into Burgundy when France is opening anti-English. Arg!
Don't give him the pleasure,he's just a spoiled kid and he only likes to fulling arround.Just tell him to f..off like I did because he only understand that and about the game he understands zero.
Zmaj (215 D(B))
31 May 12 UTC
Awww SplitDiplomat, that's just unfair. Didn't I kick your ass in a recent game? Oh you forgot, poor darling. Here, let me refresh your ailing memory: gameID=89112
Yes,Turkey killed England properly in that one. One of your's ten in 120 games, welldone.Who knows how many NMR-s were there...
Askari Ali (539 D)
31 May 12 UTC
Zmaj I might not have 1000 D but it seems I have better stats than you. Does that count? We've got the same loss percentage, but I have more wins and you have more draws. Maybe I'm the one with the balls?
Zmaj (215 D(B))
31 May 12 UTC
Askari Ali, grasping at straws? That's just sad. As I said, grow a pair and get over a thousand already. You can do it! I believe in you! Go out there and show them!

I apolgize for CD'ing this game. There was a situation which arose, contrary to what is being stated as cowardice or anger with not getting my way, that is not the case here. But you can beleive whatever you want.

Hey Zmaj, it looks like you aren`t at 1000 anymore... I wasn`t even in that game and almost everything that everyone else said was true, you didn`t draw `cause you thought you could take advantage of a CD.
cspieker (18223 D)
01 Jun 12 UTC
In Zmaj's defense, I don't think he necessarily needed to draw in that game. It is very annoying when you are doing well and someone CD's because they are losing. Then everybody puts up the draw sign, and you have been cheated out of your winning position whether or not the CD helped you. I was in a game yesterday where I was Turkey and off to a roaring start (a sure solo ;-) ), but England NMR'd in Fall 1901. All the draw signs went up. I held out one turn to at least see if he would NMR two turns in a row. He did. In that case, it didn't help me one bit that England CD'd, in fact it would have likely hurt me in the end, with a likely strong France at the end, and no England to harass Russia early on. But I felt that everyone else would be pissed if I held out. And maybe we could get a new game started (didn't). So I caved and hit the draw button.

With respect to this game, France's CD didn't really imbalance anything too much because 3 powers were all sweeping in to pick up the pieces. So anyway, I don't think he NEEDED to draw at that point. The only reason I give him sh*t here is because he is giving all of us sh*t! In fact, I am razzing him because he DID draw.
Stressedlines (1559 D)
01 Jun 12 UTC
Cspiek, the other 2 powers who got the easy pieces of France, hit Draw, so really that is where this comes into play. He thought he would benefit enough to try for a solo, butas soon as North Sea came open (i think to you) to germany, he tapped the draw.

Just a simple observation, as I was Austria, and hit draw because Italy (my ally the entire game) had put itup, and I had no chance without him guarding my back.
