Sen. Mitch McConnell's office submitted these notes for distribution-
Through March 31, the eight leading super PACs supporting Republican presidential candidates received contributions totaling $96,410,614. Of this, $83,220,167 (86.32 percent) came from individuals, only $13,190,447 (13.68 percent) from corporations, and only 0.81 percent from public companies. McConnell says, “Not a single one of the Fortune 100 companies has contributed a cent” to any of the eight super PACS.
Of course this totally discredits the fiction put forth by Obama's administration and the Democrats that public corporations would buy the election.
The hypocrisy of the Democrats on the issue of campaign spending is easily exposed. In the 2004 election, George Soros spent $24 million all on Democratic candidates, and the Democrats defended his right to "free speech."
The fact that liberal arguments of fairness and social justice aren't producing the desired poll numbers means that sense the worm has turned Democrats now stand against money corrupting the sanctity of American politics.
I'll dig up the numbers on how much money from public corporations on Wall Street has gone into SuperPacs supporting Obama and the Democrats.
Remember to vote in the 2012 election this November.
