Global Chat Liars: Calling two players one.
In a current game, a player is deliberately accusing two players of being the same person. He asserts that the "player" has messaged him and admitted as much. However it is a blatant lie. Is there anything that can be done about this, because I dont want to see peoples accounts being barred over such a thing.

Face-to-Face in Boston - Last Call
We almost have the 21 needed for three full games of face-to-face Diplomacy this upcoming weekend in Boston. This is your last chance to get on board. If you live in or around Boston, enjoy spending time with other human beings, and want to test your game against some of the most accomplished (and some significantly less accomplished) Diplomacy players, let us know. You know you want to play. Saturday, June 11 = two games; Sunday, June 12 = one game.
Love it.

Toilet Graffiti
Following a post I saw in the 'your jokes here' thread, I remembered one particularly funny piece of 'art' in a public toilet and figured it didn't belong in the jokes thread. If you've seen something hilarious written in a public toilet, I'd love to hear from you!

Austria-Hungary as a good first target?
I seem to be drawn to choosing A-H as a first enemy - he seems so much in the middle of things and so convenient to attack! I refrain if the A-H is extremely articulate/experienced, if I don't border him, or if his neighbors have something else in mind. Is my 'Austria-Hungary syndrome' common?

abgemacht wants *YOU* to find players for the Boston F2F!
Crazy and I have been killing ourselves promoting the Boston F2F game. We have 16 *great* players, but if this is going to be an amazing tournament, we need 5 more people. So, everyone who is playing, try to find someone who'd like to come along and get them in contact with me.

Sorry to here that Polt. What do the doctors say?
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Jun 11 UTC
@Polt - my prayers go out for you, her, and your entire family. Please keep us informed.

On the lighter side: I don't know how I'm going to explain to my pastor having "Poltergeist's granddaughter" on the prayer list Sunday. Oh well, at least I'm the one doing the prayers that service. :-)

humorous Draugnar I am sure.

Abge, the doctor's don't know yet, they say they want to run tests on her but I don't want them sticking needles in my baby girl.
Poltergeist (0 DX)
09 Jun 11 UTC
oh and Draug, you can ask the pastor to pray for Joshua's granddaughter.
Draugnar (0 DX)

Thanks. I'll put that on Sunday's prayer requests.

if needles will keep her healthy until they can figure out the issue, it's best to let the doc's do their job. I'll keep her in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that Poltergeist...My 8 week old baby girl just came home from the hospital after having angioplasty on her pulmonary valve and she's not herself right now...spitting up and being fussy all the time. I'm hoping its only a matter of her getting rid of the meds in her system, cuz last night sucked.

At any rate, I don't pray, but I will keep your granddaughter in my thoughts. I absolutely hate hearing stories of sick children.

Is it that she won't eat or that she spits everything up? how old is she?

my nephew had stenosis of his stomach valve (I'm not a doctor, not sure what to call it)...the one that connects the esophagus to the stomach and he couldn't keep anything down.

All the best, Ms. Polstergeist...

What've the doctors said?
SacredDigits (102 D)

I'll do my equivalent of prayer.

It's scary when a young child has health issues as their ability to give information is nil. So in addition to my thoughts being with her, they're also with you and yours to help you through this.

Poltergeist, my thoughts an prayers your way. Is she a newly born? I ask, because my youngest son was born with Hirschsprung's Disease. He wouldn't eat the first few days. They took an xray and thought he had twisted bowels. A weekend of pure terror followed (born Thursday night, xray Saturday morning) where the docs at a pretty respected hospital told it was anything from a simple plug to meningitis to he wouldn't survive the night. They did a biopsy on Monday and confirmed the Hirschsorungs. Now he is happy, healthy and you would never know he got off to a rough start....though we do have to watch what he eats to a small degree.

Just checked some of his older posts, yeah, she was born like...less than a couple weeks ago. Don't worry Polt, I will be praying and have others in my prayers for your family. I truly am sorry, at the first sign of good news please let us know.
