Global Chat Liars: Calling two players one.
In a current game, a player is deliberately accusing two players of being the same person. He asserts that the "player" has messaged him and admitted as much. However it is a blatant lie. Is there anything that can be done about this, because I dont want to see peoples accounts being barred over such a thing.

Face-to-Face in Boston - Last Call
We almost have the 21 needed for three full games of face-to-face Diplomacy this upcoming weekend in Boston. This is your last chance to get on board. If you live in or around Boston, enjoy spending time with other human beings, and want to test your game against some of the most accomplished (and some significantly less accomplished) Diplomacy players, let us know. You know you want to play. Saturday, June 11 = two games; Sunday, June 12 = one game.
Love it.

Toilet Graffiti
Following a post I saw in the 'your jokes here' thread, I remembered one particularly funny piece of 'art' in a public toilet and figured it didn't belong in the jokes thread. If you've seen something hilarious written in a public toilet, I'd love to hear from you!

Austria-Hungary as a good first target?
I seem to be drawn to choosing A-H as a first enemy - he seems so much in the middle of things and so convenient to attack! I refrain if the A-H is extremely articulate/experienced, if I don't border him, or if his neighbors have something else in mind. Is my 'Austria-Hungary syndrome' common?

abgemacht wants *YOU* to find players for the Boston F2F!
Crazy and I have been killing ourselves promoting the Boston F2F game. We have 16 *great* players, but if this is going to be an amazing tournament, we need 5 more people. So, everyone who is playing, try to find someone who'd like to come along and get them in contact with me.

Looks like the two most experienced F2Fers will get to play two boards each... Alex Amann will be one nominee, and how about Sir Babak?!
TheWizard (5364 D(S))
09 Jun 11 UTC
good idea, MM.
maybe we could have a bonus for them that only their better performance would count? though that might tempt them to more risky play...

how about those two for the first set of games and the two best players after the first round ( as they are likely to advance to the final board anyways) in the second set of games?
Thucydides (864 D(B))

why dont we try to press gang the guard who apparently has all our names on a list anyway.
MadMarx (36299 D(G))
09 Jun 11 UTC
Hopefully we will get a few locals to fill us out, at least for the first games Saturday morning, then, as you say Wizard, whoever is in first place could play two boards if need be since they will likely advance anyway...

Guys, I'm landing in Boston at 1pm. I was thinking of doing a city bus tour before 6pm but am open to other ideas. If anyone else is in town before dinner and wants to meet up, PM me your cell and we can try to meet up ahead of dinner.

Looking forward to seeing u all soon.

As for playing two boards - I think an auto-italy policy might be Smarter. Playing two countries is impossible unless u gunboat it
