well, yeah you're right. But people joining in between does upset your plans unpredictably, and its not for lack of skill

I don't necessarily have a problem with people who join later. I have a problem with these people leaving again - this should be stopped really, it's ridiculous.

May be those guys joined the game by mistake... But it's hardly a valid excuse anyway.

Only one joined, Russia. Everyone else was an original player. I would have kept playing except Russia became too unpredictable.

@brahm - Taking over CDs is *encouraged* on this site, your opinion not withstanding. Expect that someone could always take over the CD and plans your turns accordingly. After all, if the person hadn't CD'd you wouldn't have the obvious advantage that you are bitching about losing.

@The Czech: Exactly my point. I think there were more than two Russia's in that game - it was annoying to wait until 20 seconds to time-out before I knew whether Russia was going to move or not - and you'll know it made a big difference considering the position of that game. It's not fun playing like that. Like I said, I don't mind people joining in the middle, but there's no excuse for the sort of indifference to the game that all the Russians were showing.

draugnar, they should make a J shape with their right hand, not an L.

if i think someone is going to CD in a live game, i have two tabs with two sets of orders, one for if he shows, one if he doesn't. it's a simple matter to just hit ready on a second set of orders.

@Draug : I know joining CDs is encouraged, but planning assuming that someone will join the CD doesnt help if no one joins, as happened with Germany.
