@Sayo
please don't misunderstand me. I am not saying anything about the Deaf not being able to read and write (I mean, would I play diplomacy if I couldn't?)
what I am saying that I dislike the excuse "different language, don't think like that, etc" coming from everyone the very moment they have a hard time understanding or formulating a sentence.
I've seen you use that excuse on the forum before, and really, what's the point of that ?
take a look at deaf forums. some of the people there have the most horrid written english in existance (and from what I have seen, they are nothing compared to german forums, where the grammar is even worse).
I work hard to write in proper english and proper german, and dislike excuses like that.
On forums, you have more than enough time to double-check what you have written, or to re-read what someone else wrote.
You say that signing and talking at the same time makes it more accessible to both sides, but I think it's no good.
The more often and the more casualy your work with english, the better it gets.
In school, my english was bad. Then I discovered the internet and started chatting with people on english, and here you go, my grammer is ( most of the time) easily understandable and I only make few mistakes.
but whatever, it's just my opinion, and I know well enough that most don't share it
