The judges are still very popular. From what I've read (recently), it seems they probably exceed the web-based implementations in total active users, although given the length of the games I would imagine there are fewer games played over a given period.

With typical 5-7 day turnarounds (3 on retreats and builds), yeah. The games take a lot longer, but there is a lot more diplomacy and there is no real thing as a CD as a game will just pause until a replacement is found.

That's interesting, I could have sworn I read something on usenet recently where USDP was averaging more like 1500 games... and last time I was on PlayDip the silence was deafening... (granted, that's entirely subjective).

Isn't USAK only... I dunno, six months old, or something like that? I tried to like it...
