Anyone else see this bug?
In a game my fleet in Spain (SC) has the option to support move to GoL from Spain.
A fleet on the South Coast of Spain is supposed to be able to move into Gulf of Lyon... South Coast of Spain stretches from Portugal to Marseilles.
If you try saving the order you'll notice it won't take. Technically I don't *think* it's in error because a unit is capable of supporting any move it could make itself, and the recipient of the support is irrelevant; since it can't move and support anyway, it's a waste to do it in all circumstances, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I've noticed that elsewhere as well. The coast specified unit can often support a move from.it's territory (sans the coast). The UI doesn't grasp that the coastal specified territory is the same as the unspecified one.

That is an interesting phenom though.

Technically, I don't think the rules forbid specifying orders that don't make any sense. For example, in face-to-face gunboat play, often people are allowed to make orders like "Par S Mun->Lon" for the sake of sending limited messages. Of course, reasonable limits have to be placed on how many orders one can make, and how ridiculous your orders can get. You wouldn't want people just writing stuff like "Paris says hey, Germany, let's go get England, I'll help you land an army on Lon, if you help me leverage an attack on Liv" and just almost turning it into public press.

I think the limitations that WebDip places on the orders that you can make are simply a design choice to reduce order entry errors and to keep the drop down menus reasonably manageable. I guess some gunboaters that prefer more expressive orders might have a reasonable argument toward allowing nonsensical orders, but the menus might get a bit overwhelming/confusing to beginners and probably annoying to others.

Given the design choices made on this site, this behavior would seem to be unintentional. Other than in these multi-coast situations, this website doesn't allow you to order a unit to support a move from it's own territory.

It would be cool to have a flag on the user account that, after so many completed games, a user could set the flag to allow invalid orders and all.poasibilities would then be possible.
yebellz (729 D(G))

That would seem like an unfair advantage (and possibly an anonymity breaker) if not allowed to everyone in a gunboat game.

What degree of invalid orders that are allowed for gunboats is a debatable topic, but whatever the decision, it should be consistently applied to everyone in the same game.
Draugnar (0 DX)

Then make it an option available to everyone but also requiring it on the game. So both flags that allow invalid orders have to be on allowing for training games where no one could use it or a safety check for people who didn't want to use it.

If I can clearly see my veins...
Would that suggest/mean a high blood pressure? If so, does that mean that if I can temporarily see my veins, I temporarily have a high blood pressure?

I might be closing in on something I've been trying to figure out for quite a while here, so I'm just checking seemingly obvious stuff as well to be thorough.

Building in a home supply centre belonging to another power
I have a rules query: say I'm playing France, and I want to build in Paris. Paris is unoccupied by any unit, but coloured Purple, because Russia occupied it previously and no one has yet re-occupied it. Can I build in Paris or not?
