To the Germanic Invader:
In your scrambling and hurried excuses for your actions, you fail to understand what exactly it means to take responsiblity for one's actions.
One does not simply break a treaty, invade a country, and when the international comunnity expresses concern say: "whoops, I forgot to tell you. Actually, this is all part of a plan I have. You can have your country back. Is that cool?"
Would it be cool if French armies razed Munich and then say, "its OK, kill our army. We didn't want it anyway".? I should think not.
You broke our trust and its not coming back anytime soon.
Now, to Britain we ask:
In order to ensure we can protect ourselves from future Hunnic incursions, our defense ministry says that an occupation of the Ruhr would be a necessary precautionary and punitive measure. Would you consider supporting us in?
Perhaps we can also discuss a mutually beneficial partnership for ensuring war does not overwhlem either of our two nations?
Pre-emptively, I declare that no French fleet will ever attempt to occupy the English Channel without British aquiesence, nor will French fleets occupy the North Atlantic or Irish Sea, (these two seas we recognize as British terrirtorial waters).
As a further expression of our committment of peace with the English Crown, we will also be leaving the Mid Atlantic Ocean empty of fleets in the forseeable future. This prevents even theoretical attacks on Britain by France.
I hope we can work together more comprehensively, and I once again thank the Queen for withdrawing from the Channel. I bow to her Majesty with added flourish.
We would like to bring the war to the Germans and dictate a ceasefire with the Ruhrian soil underfoot, if the British will support our sentiments.
To Italy:
We are not quite sure what to make of recent actions, but we would like to discourage rash acts like the one supposedly committed by minister Tittoni.
Austria does not need the stress of 'incidents' on her western border, and we would like Italy to gain control of her ministers.
With a drawn sword and a mighty heart,
Théophile Delcassé
French Minister of Foreign Affairs
Now, finally: A news excerpt from a notable French Newspaper:
France rages at Hunnic Invaders!
Today, thousands of Parisians have poured onto to the boulevards of the French Capital to express thier outrage at the German invasion of France a week ago. Screaming, shouting, and carrying large banners, many people are expressing outrage at the French Governments lack of a war declaration and crying for a repulsion of German troops.
The circumstances and extent of the German invasion are not yet known, but it is confirmed that on the 5th of May, 1902 five German Army divsions crossed the Rhine Rive and penetrated into Germany.
The German Minister of War says this is merely a large Army drill gone wrong, but the French people are having none of this.
A French citizen from Lille is quoted as saying "Those f-ing German barbarians have invaded us twice in the last century, and they already have stolen French lands!! And now they expect to believe this is a drill!? Pleh, I say, we must make hard war on the bastards!"
The French Government has already expressed its concerns over the reported incusrions but has yet to make a formal declaration. Meanwhile, the German advance has slowed but seems to be consolidating, and most experts expect a formal declaration of war by the French Government to come soon.
