Why do users display "Available Points" instead of "Total Points"?

For what the points mean or don't mean, seeing and ranking by total points is more informative that the current display of available points, no?

Internet satellite tv /live streaming

Does anyone here use any of these services.If so which sites/programs work best.Interested in catching up on some shows that I've missed lately and want to watch older episodes.Also live sports tired of being forced to choose to watching only a few games at a time on cable.Would like to have wider selection of games to pick from.

Why the mods are being selective?

Why they take actions against a player who breaks a rule and don't take actions against a player who breaks the same rule as the other one? What's the point of the rules then?

@kestasjk - it's just a wond-up. There are enough trolls on this site winding people up about way more serious things than this so why does it make you feel uncomfortable?
As I'm sure you know no matter how uncomfortable people may feel it doesn't make people contribute, instead they just berate me for making them feel a bit guilty, of course I'm not really making them feel guilty, they are wrestling with their own conscience.
In life we are taught that to have quality things in your life you need to pay good money, they turn up on Webdip and I bet they cannot believe their luck, something of quality for absolutely FREE, I bet some people are kicking themselves everyday in disbelief.
I have only paid money because I have absolute respect that somebody has put time and effort into producing such a high quality product,
I find an interesting irony that on this site so many people here argue for free market economics and capitalism, yet when presented with an option to contribute refuse it despite their personal beliefs. I am just poking fun at the hypocrites, please don't hang me for that.
I didn't pay up front, I have paid a miniscule amount of about £42 for hours and hours of entertainment I have had on this site.
So please don't feel uncomfortable about money, I totally respect the fact that you have made this site free, you are a top top man for producing something of such quality.
If you feel some comfort in removing my badge go ahead as long as you respect my right to raise the issue of the freeloader from time-to-time when people are whining about how horrible it is here and how they have suffered *cough* SplitD *cough*.
Regardless of payment some players need to learn some respect and manners, and those things are also free.

@kestasjk, yes I've messaged you because I realy wanted an honest second opinion back then because they did something wrong and you've responded quickly telling me they were on the matter. So you see it's a good sign if I go to the forum with it as you seem to be more interested now. But I don't want any second opinion any more.
You have the whole case contained in our correspondence if you are interested,I'm tyred of that discussion.I was aware long time ago no more words would help to the selective moderators to convince them they made a subjective decision based on how they like or don't like a person. I've just got my confirmation recently when they treated two same (other then me) offenders differently.
Now I just want to express my feelings to my commrades on the forum.If this isn't allowed I'll stop expressing my feelings.

The burden of proof is on SplitDiplomat, not me. He created this thread. He made these allegations against the mods, in public, and has then continued to repeat the allegation. When I asked him a direct question about the basis for his claim that the mods were acting on the basis of friendship and/or favouritism, he didn't answer me.

I've always believed if people knew each other personally or had a friendship of whatever sorts in a game (and by extension to moderators) it was just good form to bring it to the attention of others. That this is not being said by the mods suggests to me there is no "favouritism" occurring here. I think SD has a right to bring this up though without facing the kind of hostility he has, transparency is healthy and dip fertilises a certain amount of paranoia - let Kes cast his beak over the issue and give the guy a break?

@ Jasbrum: The reason certain users, such as Draugnar and myself, are responding to SD in the way that we are, is that his accusations are very serious indeed. He has accused the moderator team of being liars, and of directly favouring their friends in their adjudications of complaints / decisions. He claims there is a list of users who the mods have agreed are "above the law" in terms of punishments or sanctions for rule breaches. These are VERY serious allegations, because if they were true, the player community would be able to have no confidence whatsoever in the mod team's ability (or even willingness) to enforce the rules. However SD, despite being challenged to do so more than once, has failed to sufficiently back up these very serious allegations. That's why he's facing some "hostility" as you put it.

Jamie, I have been following this and understand what you're saying about the issue, and respect your words - my take on it is that it has degenerated partly because some folks have got way over emotional about it and the tone has escalated badly as a result.
Haven't been here long myself (and could worship Kes for providing his time and effort and generosity and the site for free) but surely this is for the mods to resolve, and I do think jmo has been doing a reasonable and respectful job at it - all the name calling doesn't help in my opinion, it's the mods that need to understand why SD, presumably an excellent player and, up to now, a rational and considerate member of the community has had such a strong reaction?

This *would* be a matter for the mods and Kestas to resolve sensibly and quietly, were it not for the fact that SD has brought it so publicly to the forum, and so loudly called the mod team "liars". Once you start shouting and crying and having a tantrum so loudly as that, you invite criticism upon yourself, especially if you can't (or won't) back up all of your claims.

I have found the site to always be very well moderated, and thank the team for their efforts. On a different note, although split diplomat has good stats, these seem to be in no press games.
Nothing against them, but it has less skill than full press games... Maybe he should play a few of these (anon) and see how he fares :)

Jamie, fair point but criticism very different to insults and name calling - I know it's gone both ways now but maybe that's due to the emotional escalation I'm on about and why this thread needs to be ended?
Draug, it's not putting me off the site, I just think it's a real shame the way this has gone - the mods are well capable of handling this correctly without us all leaping to there defence a la "fairer sex" mode, however much we disagree or dislike the accusations from SD.
KJII - maybe he sees this as levelling the playing field, I don't know, maybe he'll stick around to grant that wish?

How the fuck is this still going on? My god, even Kestas says this has been handled. Split, shut up or go somewhere else to play. You have lost any level of respect that I had for you a long time ago by continuing this bullshit claim. And I do not care if you think you are right. Hell, at this point I don't care if you ARE right. You handled this poorly and have continued to cry about it far longer than you should have. And having lando jump in to help doesn't help your cause. We all know what he thinks about the mods. If both of you hate the mods so much, why do you play here?

What would Jesus say if he were here ..... possibly that the level of diplomacy skills in Split are sadly lacking.
Are the Mod team doing a good job? Yes
Do they get it right all of the time? No
Do they have some people they like more than others? Yes
Are they going out of their way to persecute SplitD .... probably not.
