On what basis do you claim that the moderators treated one case differently from another because the other player involved was their *friend*? What is your evidence for this?

Seriously, Gen Lee. The mods have clearly already ruled on this if it involved you and you either paid a penalty or didn't depending on their judgment and leniency, so go ahead and provide info if you think it is you so we can better understand what SplitDiplobaby is crying about.

And he has gone to kestas, at least on his own case. So I find it ironic he complains about partiality when he has used the system and done the appeal to the admin (getting docked even more for even greater irony/justice) then to Kestas in the past. Why is he so butt hurt because one person got a lighter sentence when he couldn't possibly know the full circumstances behind both cases' investigations (despite his protests to the contrary).

I don't see why SD should be taking all of this flak. He asked a question he perceived to be legitimate. The mucky mucks owned him in such a way that indicated they wouldn't tolerate dissent. Their response could generate a speech-chilling effect.

If Split's question is illegitimate, why not answer it succinctly without animus? The fact that there's 6 pages of smoke indicates there must have been a little fire to begin with.

@glomek - if you read much in the forum you'll notice that on this site, lots of smoke is in fact not an indicator of fire. It's more of an indicator of how annoying the arguers are willing to be.

Hi guys, I've read the mod's side of it, but haven't got much out of this thread so I'm not really clear on SpiltDiplomat's side. As I understand it there's some confusion about a rule, a mod made a decision that some consider too harsh, and a decision was made for other first-time offenders that seemed inconsistent?


SD can you e-mail me your side and I'll think it through? I don't think it's a good sign if you're posting this to the forum though; you've messaged me before and I've responded quickly, so if you really want an honest second opinion because you think the mods did something wrong why go to the forum with it?

Everyone makes mistakes including mods, so wanting a second opinion is perfectly reasonable (the mod team have corrected my mistakes in moderation more than once), but posting it up to the forum and starting a flame war isn't the right way to go about it.

Also I have to say the freeloader stuff makes me a bit uncomfortable, I appreciate our donors of course but also our regular users. The donor marker might need to be made a profile-page thing instead of a forum thing, if its being taken in a way that wasn't intended
