Italy can't build fleets in Rome and Naples, and I can't build an army in Constantinople. Coincidentally enough, that's what we built in each of those locations before the reset.

Order of Countries in reports
Why are country's orders reported in the order EFIGART
I would have thought that either EFGIART or AEFGIRT would have been the norm,
not that it is a big thing... in fact it is a little tiny pick, but I am always curious as to why certain things are done by programers.

Please send Her Majesty's warm thanks to the Kaiser, and request his acquiescence to a slight delay in the shipment to Norway for the showing of goodwill towards France.

Her Majesty also implores the Russian Czar to understand the delay and not withdraw his generous offer of a party in Norway for the sailors that have crossed the treacherous North Sea. Her Majesty wishes to prove to the French that Her intentions are honorable and would like to safely be in Belgium before the shipment docks in Norway.

Her Majesty Humbly awaits your reply.

would that be the field marshall of italy sultan?the czar wishes to pass on some information to the brave sultan about some sharp rocks in the black sea which could damage fleets so its best that particular area of water is avoided for the foreseeable future

01 Nov 08 UTC
Czar, I was referring to the Field Marshall of Austria. His moves seem to have left him in a less secure place than he was earlier, not more.

I, too, have heard stories of the rocks in the Black Sea. I believe it is in both our interest to keep our fleets out of there, and not to produce any more fleets in Sevastopol or Ankara

The Sultan would like to open discussions with Italy about the fate of the poor Albanians. Perhaps there is a way that we could send a division of relief workers there with your assistance next year. Your support in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

From the French Foreign Minister:

I would first like to affirm the cordial relationships our nation has cultivated with the strong reasonable nations of Germany and Italy, who have fulfilled thier parts of our agreements. Let the lush countrysides of Burgundy and Piedmont never be exposed to the rancours of war. We will send each of you several boxes of our finest chocolates and delicacies as a sign of our friendship.

We also hope that the newly pleasant rhetoric of Britain continues, and would like to thank both the Minister and the Monarch for thier excellent gifts of port ad stout. Not to be outdone, we will send you a return gift of some our best Wine from the vineyards of Burgundy and Provence. Hopefully these signs of peace will help prevent untoutward agrssion.

Because, though the British claim peace, they are expecting us Frenchmen to do what they would never do: Rely on thier good-will for our survival. Unfortunately the people of France do not sit well with this state of vulnerability the international community has forced us into accepting. As a result please do not take it as a sign of agression if our army in Picardy is not around to help the army unload at Antwerp.
We have heard reports of British ships off the coast near Brest, and wish to go and investigate.

Thank you all and good day.

Given the recent actions of Italy, it can clearly be seen that his presence in any land cannot be called a peacekeeping force. No, his presence in Greece would be nothing short of oppression. He has gone not only against the wishes of his now adversary Austria-Hungary, but against my own wishes as well. And here we have Turkey courting further attacks on the lands now possessed by Austria. What fate can Italy expect after the demise of his eastern neighbor?

and he also feels taht due to the austrian problems with italy the balkans may uprise which cannot be allowed to happen so i beesch the sultan to make sure these territories do not rise up, i have also heard rumblings of rebellion in galica
Maica (145 D)
01 Nov 08 UTC
Should one country fall for such fickle things as pride? what has your pride to do with the actions of italy? I only say that Italy can no longer go under the guise of a peacekeeper, when he has gone against the request of two nations which border Tyrolia. I wish the Austrians good luck, as they have no friends to aid them.

Chancellor, what would you have us do? Swallow Austrian insults as if they were candy? Encourage a manifestly expansionist power whose arrogance seems only to be matched with his inability to recognize the long term consequences of his actions? No, if the Dual Monarchy now finds itself in a poor strategic situation, they have none to blame but themselves.

Albania is only Austrian territory by right of conquest. While the Austrian monarch spoke often of the fear the people of the Balkans hold towards the Sultan's forces, we find our own sources state that the Albanians chafe far more under the iron fist of Austria than they would under our just rule. It is, perhaps, unfortunate that the Sultan has been placed in a position where he must protect the innocent from the ravages of the Austrians, but they have made it clear by both word and deed that they are a threat to the stability of the world.

Italian Press:

It has been reported that the Foreign Minister Tittoni, left his estate sometime after 1 AM. Those close to him report that he was seen talking to a band af traveling gypsy, and it is believed that he traveled with the gypsy to the land of Tyrolia to visit his cousin.
Maica (145 D)

Dear Sultan of Islamic Turkey,

You are calling Austria an expansionist power? Is it now true that each and every one of us wishes to expand, whether it be in the balkans, Iberia, Scandinavia, or the lowlands? From what I recall, Austria only stated, unwisely, that the balkans had experienced oppression under the Ottoman Empire, and as he rules over a slavic people he does not wish to see such a thing occur again. Italy is at fault here, I asked him out of friendship to not enter Tyrolia, even if to visit his cousin with an army.

We wished that our souther border might remain stable through peaceful relations with Austria. However we can see that if Austria is unable to forge better relationships with its neighbors we will be forced to seek more intimate relationships with those in the east. However, Italy's actions are suspicious to us, and we do not consider them by any means peaceful. We Pray Russia is able to see the alliance formed between Italy and turkey, and will act appropriately in the future.

stratagos (3269 D(S))
01 Nov 08 UTC
Chancellor, I would note the following:

* Italy has not agreed to an alliance with us. They have only agreed to occupy Greece. If memory serves, the Austrians invited them to do the same.

* The Czar has no reason to fear our warriors, and I earnestly hope we have no need to fear his. I would assume your attempt to forment conflict between us is based upon fear, and I would urge you not to follow the failed example of your cousins to the south by raising the ire of the east.

* There are means to expand for the Ottomans that do not involve conflict with either the Czar or the Italian King. Those methods involve expansion through Germany. Are you attempting to encourage this?
trim101 (363 D)
01 Nov 08 UTC
dear sultan i am not listening to the kaisers fear mongering as we have both been insulted by the austrian and he should be made to pay for his insult, but after that i have no wish to go to war against anyone else unless they to insult me so i hold out the olive branch to my german friend
Maica (145 D)
01 Nov 08 UTC
Sultan, I do not fear your alliance, only that there may be some stablity along my southern border. I would say that Austria may no longer believe the italians would provide a peace force in greece, but there is not much he can do about this.

You would do well to note that I stated that in such an event that Austria would fall I did not say I would end diplomatic ties to any country, no, i stated I would forge more intimate relations. Such Relations would include you my good friend.

my request to russia was that he act appropiately, I did not request that he forgo his intentions to attack Galicia, as it is not my place. I am sorry for anything you have taken offense to, and i do not mean to betray our good relations.
Maica (145 D)
01 Nov 08 UTC
Minister Tittoni,

We Germans merely fear for instablity of our southern border, which might extend into our country. We, however, do not wish to war with the east, The Italians included, and do humbly accept and reciprocate the Olive branch.

Kaiser Wilhelm II is distressed by the silence of his western neighbors.
Friendly Sword (636 D)
02 Nov 08 UTC
Hail Kaiser,
The Government of France is curious as to what precisely the Kaiser would like to hear from his continental neighbour.

The people of France have extended the glove of friendship to the people of Germany but all the Germans seem to want to do is please the British.

But if you are concerned about our lack of positive negotiation:

Once again we reiterate a desire for a de-militarized Burgundy.

However, we would also like to know what the Kaiser thinks of a mutual-protection pact between the nations of Germany and France.
The stipulations would be following:
-No entering or supporting the entry of foreign troops in the soil of the other nation (unless this has been negotiated)
-If any territory of our two nations is invaded by a belligerent power, both Germany and France would declare war and work together to repulse and punish this agressor.

I see how this could be beneficial to both our nations. What, I then ask, does the Kaiser think of this proposal, and if it is unacceptable, is there something he would like to modify in the treaty?

Thank you, Bon Nuit, und Guten Tag,

Théophile Delcassé
French Minister of Foreign Affairs
Friendly Sword (636 D)
02 Nov 08 UTC
To add:

We would also like to express our support for German policy towards the east. Not even us Frenchmen would like to see the eruption of an alpine war.

We do not believe the intelligent nation of Italy would invade German territory nor would the Germans do likewise. As a result, we believe a cessation of the frightfully agressive rhetoric spawning from the areas of Tyrolia is in order.

To our friendly Italian neighbours: we will always be supporters of you in the east, but we hope you pursue your foreign policy with adaquete discretion.
Maica (145 D)
02 Nov 08 UTC
The Kaiser is curious about this Mutual Defense Treaty. IF such a thing were to be agreed upon, what would be the solution if Germany were to war with England, and England was an Ally of England?

I also ask where might we expand, for I do not wish to fight the Russians, nor you the Italians. And thus only England would be our target, but I do not have the naval power necessary to fight Her Majesty.

Also, I ask how our interests can grow together, and how we might defuse our tensions if such arise.
Maica (145 D)
02 Nov 08 UTC
The kaiser thans the French Minister for his support our interests in the claimed Tyrolia
