Given that the town were hopeless last game by failing to catch a single Mafia without the help of PR's, I don't think it was that imbalanced. If krellin had joined the town then they should have romped to victory there. 6 Mafia 16 Town is fine.

I apologize for assuming that VTs are actually capable of coalescing in order to catch mafia. It was a dumb oversight on my behalf.

Really dislike the idea of having 6 mafia again. Now if it was a multi-mafia game with two teams of 3 mafia.. that may be interesting.

@Vashta -- if Cougar wasn't modkilled, I may have not joined the mafia. I in part took the mafia role *because* he was mod-killed, because the town was on a role, because it was therefore the unexpected thing to do and I liked the idea of winning as the underdog. So I don't fully agree with what you say.

Umm ND theres a huuuge problem with two Maf teams. Its ties.

There is zero ways to prevent a tie with two Maf teams unless you use snipers who dont know which maf team they are on. (which would be hilariously confusing)

Miller role didn't really come into play last game, since Maniac was perfect (and so we're mafia at killing PRs)

By the way, to date Vash has never publicly congratulated a single member of the scum team for their win. He has blamed the loss on bad town play, an imbalanced setup, but never has he said any of the scum team played well including unanimous MVP krellin.

That's what happens when mafia plays well and town plays badly. I only had two of them pegged if I remember correctly. I was stunned that krellin ended up being mafia; his play didn't change a bit.

Let me put it this way, we need to dramatically reform the way we approach the game. guak chimes in after the game ends to deliver some half assed sermon about the dangers of letting spammers obfuscate the game. Well thats a crackhead response. lurkers, spammers arent the issue at all. Stop looking for holes in peoples arguments and look at reads people post. Its not hard to see a bullshit read. go read everything guak and TrPrado posted in MXV its laced with scum tells right and left.
Never trust anyone who manipulates people into killing a newb day 1. Newbs are easy targets for scum (hence why I mentioned MXV).

The other problem is people only tend to overly concern themselves with people voting for them, never the people defending them. Defending a townie without any reason is a very sneaky way to make them your bitch. If its any consolation I probably will never be able to buddy Vecna or ghug again lol.

I fully expect to die day 1 regardless because of vash's new policy towards the game which is to push for lynches on people he thinks arent good at the game. combined with an overall sour grapes attitude.

If he thinks you aren't good at the game, he needs to look at last game.

If he's genuinely concerned with lynching people that he doesn't think are good at the game, fight him on that in game. You all know I go after guak D1 every single game because he's a bad townie or good scum. That's all he is. Either way, I want to at the very least decrease his influence because all he does, like you said, is lurk and then preach when the rest of the town does something wrong. He doesn't even bother trying to convince people. There's merit to doing that.

Now, I am a newb still, and most of my Mafia experience does come from live short games, but what about 15 town, 2 teams of 3 scum, and a third party? Also assign one of each of the scum on the two teams as a leader, so if they die the rest of that team get enveloped by the other faction.Also the TP would need to be a independent role and not an amn or anything like that.

How would you prevent a tie if the only 5 players left in game were both maf leaders. 2 town. and 3rd party. maf could both just claim at night and kill the other players.

I didn't say it was a good idea, haha. But in your situation, the maf would NK 2 of the 3 and either the TP or one of the town would decide the winner.
