Sorry for being so insistent on this. I refuse to draw this game, but will consider unpausing if we make this a non-anon gunboat game. Does that make sense/is that fair?

There is only one solution, and it is to cancel. Suggesting we can still play a gunboat after this mess is nonsense.

Well it's not always the case but it does make it harder to communicate in these cases. Like I said, I'd like a restart, with the new Austrian player and have us a gunboat the way it's meant.

Yip, I am totally off gunboats because of similar problems. I will now only play if there is public press so that the players can communicate on non-game issues such as how to handle CDs. I might play true gunboats if I could trust the other players not to head for hyperspace on a whim.

I am not in this game, but I would like to point out that games drawn in the first three years are not considered in Ghost Rating calculations.

Thus drawing should not be a concern for players that are worried about protecting their GR.

Everyone would simply get their points back, as would be the case of a cancel. The only downside to the draw is that everyone gets a meaningless draw placed on their record. However, it does have the benefit of revealing who was playing which country.

I'm all for a restart. Let's make it public press, but agree not to post anything in the global section. When there is a pause request, or an NMR situation we have a place to discuss.

OK, let's have a rematch. 50 per person, PPSC, public press which won't be used unless some problem occurs. Those who took part have their spots reserved (I'll send PMs with the password), those who don't confirm attendance by Monday evening will be replaced. Kinda harsh but I'd like to have it set-up quick.

mr_brown: I feel terrible that this turned you off of gunboats. They can normally be really fun. It's my fault because I was the one who originally CD'd and a bunch of shit just kind of happened to me all at once. So... please give it another chance, maybe in the future?

I was kinda upset about the situation, when i posted that remark about being turned off. but since everyone in this thread has been so nice about it (apart from the wait ;), i think i'll join in again.

but just to be clear, the game is set to full press, but we dont use it? not even the private chat? or is that ok? not clear about that ...
