If John McCain came out and said 'Barack Obama is not qualified to be president because he is black', I don't think that would split the community in half, but those remarks would certainly be considered controversial.

I don't think that is a terribly controversial statement for those of us in the U.S. It certainly doesn't draw the flak that abortion and various other hot button issues do.

Not for most of us in the US. But I've even had a chemistry teacher say it was a war crime, unfortunately the idea is more widespread than you'd think.

I didn't suggest the age should be lowered, I posted a controversial sentence, wich is that it should be lowered.

And even that sentence did not imply that the law should be BROKEN, but that it should be CHANGED.

I think that that is a very controverial sentence, specially because I discuss the topic with myself and I can't come to a definitive answer. Just in case, no, I have never had sex with anyone under 18, not even when I was under 18.

Anyway, if we can't question a law, and discuss wether we feel it is just or not, then we would still have to abide by every law ever made...
