Sorry all for not holding my part in the last season, but I wasn't expecting support from Turkey, was more worried about surviving at all and didn't noticed Germany could wrap it up so soon.

I was wondering why Turkey, Austria and Italy were fighting until Germany won.

I hadn't really considered how one would "win" the tournament since it was split in two. When each of the two end (39 and 5 ) I will make an individual thread for each, post results, and ask for EOGs (or link to extant ones that appear in this thread). The way things are going, 39 is going to wrap up sooner than 5 (I'd guess about a week faster), but I am hesitant to offer more commentary than that so as to not "talk about on-going games." :P

I think Yonni has it right, though, on winning. Whoever had the most fun. And I dunno about you guys, but I'm having a blast!

I guess we can discuss it in an EOG thread if we make one but I tried to stop Germany there. Several times I attempted to get in a position to stop the solo but turkey kept coming. Maybe I didn't do the best job of showing that though.

I think you did as well as one could Yonni. In fact, it's likely because you did so well that I was able to solo. A lessor austria may have be beaten allowing that powder keg to resolve itself and letting the remaining nations focus on the larger picture.

It's hard to not reference the other ongoing games, so I'll limit my comments for now.

Good game jcb. not much to add, spoke with my neighbours via PM. I had no hope and was waiting to be eliminated, watching to see if a solo could be prevented.

I went pro-G with my opening. He didn't care, so I backtracked from F real quick. Unfortunately, he misread by peace offering as a weakness and attacked. I couldn't let that slide so I defended until the end, intwentionally tipping the scales towards G.

No offense Gobbledygook, but when you moved against me, I made it my mission to see you lose as quickly as myself. I think I succeeded.

That said, I enjoyed it. Austria and I spent the entire game fighting each other until suddenly Germany came to join in the fun, swiftly followed by Turkey. Good game everybody.

Czech. I have no words. I fail to understand. I felt we both fought until the last minute and then had just enough time to form our stalemate. And then you destroyed it. I felt like a toddler who's building blocks were kicked over.

This game sucked for me :-( No builds as Austria in 01 was bad, then all my tries to just screw Italy were thwarted by aggressive T and Rs.

I actually have a feeling that Czech found a sitter.

I looked at this game last night thinking it was drawing time. Good thing gobble decided to check one last time that the defenses wouldn't be lowered! I suppose Germany could have been trying to let the draw narrow? :)

The tournament is WTA right?

Even if the winner is determined by PPSC, it would have been more beneficial to keep a solo away. If you've soloed once, as other tournaments have shown, you're likely to solo several more times.

The games are all WTA. As for winning the tournament, I thought we hit on who has the most fun? I hadn't really thought about it. I'll probably rank players several different ways and see if there's a real contrast.

Then what is Czech talking about?
