Depends on the state, abgemacht. I don't know where he is located to look up the law. In KY, as long as you don't have a position of authority over the teen in question and you don't take pictures/video, 16 is the age of consent without limits not already mentioned. And in every state, 18 is the age of consent. Period. Which is why I suggested an 18 year old high school senior.

You need to check your facts. The acceptable minimum age of a person you can have sex with is (Your Age/2)+7. This takes precedent over any state, federal, or international laws.

And I'm sorry about the "hit" thing, I just find that expression really creepy. It makes the whole thing seem like an act of violence, and that is somewhat unfortunate.

And damn, abgemacht. According to that calculation I have a year and couple months before I can never go back to a 20 something. I turn 45 in January so have until January 2012 to take advantage of a 29 to 29 1/2 year old.

At any rate, as much as the suggestions that you tell your wife to use the money on herself or the baby would be, I think your wife might actually want the opportunity to do something nice for you. There must be something you think would be neat. What about one of those things that lets you listen to the music on your iPod or whatever mp3 player, on your car radio. Make the commute more tolerable. Or even perhaps just keep it really simple and ask for some book(s) you've really wanted to read or some movies you really like?

@ strat - I find my own cohort is somewhat more willing to stretch the definition of monogamous a little. Although it is possible that really is just a phase that we'll outgrow.

@Mafia - and there's the problem - despite my geek roots, I really *have* everything I want. I have an MP3 player and I installed one of those aux jacks so I can listen to it. I already gave her a list of a few books I want, but those are mostly afterthoughts. I loath TV and movies, so that's pretty much a no-go.

Shirts and/or watches always make great gifts for me. But then I'm trying to be more stylish lately and variety helps.
