Windows 8 <-> XBox 360 Help...

Trying to connect my music media from my Win 8 computer (no comments...I know..I know...) to my XBox 360. The XBox media player will see my laptop, but when I select it to play music, it fails and says "Can't connect to the PC. A firewall may be blocking the connection"

The honor of your presence is requested at this Spring's Confederate Grand Ball.

The event will include a rousing game of full-press diplomacy between gentlemen. The phase length istobe determined,but it is expected that at
least 36 to 48 hours will be necessary as the negotiations are expected to be of the highest quality.

A seat at the Grand Ball is expected to cost 1429

. Of course the game will be WTA and if you bring your best game you can expect to make your contribution back and more.

Consideration will be given to high GR players, but any who wish to join are encouraged to state their intentions to attend.

I have a 4th player interested. Uclabb would like to be involved but will require an amended buy-in of ~1,100. It may be difficult to fill this game at 1429, and I have also really wanted to play uclabb since following his analysis of the SoW thread, so we may adjust the buy-in to include him.

It has been pointed out that I did not mention whether this game would be anon or non-anon. I had just assumed anonymous, although I really don't mind either way if most would prefer non-anon.

If I am remembering correctly, uclabb has said he can identify me in a game within the first message or two... Suppose I'd vote to keep it an even playing field and go non-anon...

Heeeeey, do not put down the noobs. They are the life force of our GR.

And I will admit that I enjoy grunting or being monosyllabic to in my diplomatic exchanges. There has been many games where the total amount of press that I had is less than one exchange between you and me, or the one where Julien almost convinced me that him stabbing me was a good thing for me (on facebook).

I didn't know this was a hot button issue when I invited Cachimbo...I'm sure there is a good story behind it all, but Marx happily agreed to play Cachimbo again...as long as slyster wasn't included as well :P what happened that on that dark and rainy night?

Wow... This is gonna be even better than watching a new blockbuster movie with any top two Hollywood stars... Let's say Cher and Julia Roberts.

PS: I'm fooling around with them because I both know them well. One in real life and the other one from many games played together. ;)

We apparently have endless possibilities for planets to appear, in completely different climates and such... Does that mean endless possibilities for, for example, life, out there in the universe? So everything that is chemically and physically possible almost certainly happens somewhere right?

Tips on Career Searching

This past weekend, I graduated undergrad and have moved on to being a basically unemployed member of society ( I have a minimum wage type part time job). I'm not going to grad school (yet?) and am looking for tips on finding that first job. Any hints, ideas, personal anecdotes etc. etc are welcome.

A cheap, reliable game

I've had a few too many games ruined by cheaters and CDs. I've created a anonymous game with a 25-point buy in that is pass-worded. If you're interested in playing, please reply and I'll PM you a password. I'd prefer it if you've completed (at least) 5 games, but I'll send the password to anyone who's not brand-new and has never "left" a game.
