He didn't try too hard to hide it with "spartan" and "michiganstatespartans" as his other accounts (or something like that).

I was wondering when this loser was going to get banned....
Chaqa (3971 D(B))

PJMan? Aww. I've played dozens of games with him over the last months, he was a good ally... Although if he was a multi, he was awful. He never won games.
Tyran (914 D)
27 Mar 13 UTC
I've had my strong suspicions for a while but he was the only ones getting games together when I wanted to play so.
Chaqa (3971 D(B))
27 Mar 13 UTC
I looked through most of his games and didn't see any other accounts banned. Was he using PJMan as a legit and others as multis? His PJMan account only appears in one game with another banned person (hazard)

Hahaha, he was a serial cheat and still only had a 4% win rate? Now that is pathetic. When you cheat like that and still can't win a game, you really are a loser.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Mar 13 UTC
He may have only multied for forum purposes or to get around the point limit.

I actually got into an argument with PJMan the other night when I bitched him out for quitting a game and letting Dharmaton win. I mean, seriously? Dharmaton winning a game? He was insistent that he was a good player, even going to far as to show me his win as Turkey where Russia didn't show up for five years. The site just won't be the same without him.
erist (228 D(B))

LOL, I was just in a game where he was banned and /terrible/. I think maybe he was just a poor player and a poor multi, not a nefarious cheater.

The little tit was an awful player of the 'I have to go soon. Can we draw?' variety. There is a special circle of hell reserved for people like him, along with mime artists, health and safety officers, and the sort of people who believe dressing chihuahuas in knitted jumpers is cute. Getting himself banned was the best thing he ever did.
blankflag (0 DX)

'I have to go soon. Can we draw?'
do you mean in a live game? well... what do you expect? sometimes you really do have things to do. so you can throw the game, hope for a draw, or just miss turns and eventually go into civil disorder. ideally there would be a resign option, but without one, those are all you can do, so i dont see the problem with trying to get a draw before having to leave.

@blankflag

I expect people who start a live game to have put aside enough time to play it. People who start such a game knowing they have to bugger off in an hour and a half for hockey practise/ dinner/ a shift at work are selfish little shits who are better off banned.
blankflag (0 DX)
27 Mar 13 UTC
thats a nice dream, too bad it is unenforceable unless most of the current live players are banned. or unless you make banning based on the players petitioning the admins on why they had to leave it and it wont happen again/whatever. either way i will quote bloomberg on drones spying on the american public and watching their every move: *deal with it*.
Octavious (2701 D)
27 Mar 13 UTC
What's the dream, blank? That I expect people to have enough time to finish what they start? That I expect it and that most people do so is simple fact. People who leave early are shits? That is also fact. As is the statement that such players are better banned. The only dreams are in your imagination.

@ Draugnar: "He may have only multied for forum purposes or to get around the point limit."

No, I'm afraid if you look at his games, he used at least two of his accounts in several games together... and kept losing.

Privatization 3

One thing to privatize a rail line, another to privatize someone else's land, specifically that land... good job, Ecuador.

Three quick questions from a total noob.
I just joined as there is some interest at my office to have an ongoing game throughout the day, and I suggested webDiplomacy since we can set up our own server with the code from Sourceforge.

Site Error/Speed
The site is currently running slow. It was timing out so I restarted the server. We've let Kestas know, and hopefully it will be running back to normal speed soon.

A serious educational project: part I Mathematics
I plan to spend a month or so this summer creating an individualized experimental math curriculum that would teach the mathematically inclined the subject and its history, starting with basic computations to calculus, number theory, matrices, applied numerical methods, and so forth. Can anyone suggest books, curricula and websites? Is anyone interested in doing part of the research and development with me?

Sweet 16 march madness tournament 2013!
While the Sweet 16 is coming up in the tournament, the games are getting closer and more interesting! Michigan State Vs Duke, Michigan vs Kansas Oregon vs Louisville Ohio state vs Arizona. Even though those aren't the 16 teams but those are the better games. What game sticks out the most? Predictions?

Weird Supreme Court alignment
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that police need a warrant to take drug-sniffing dogs onto the porch of your home.

The majority: Scalia, Thomas, Ginsburg, Sotomayor, Kagan.
The minority: Roberts, Alito, Kennedy, Breyer.

Can you guys review my essay for English?
We have a project in my english class where we have to write 7 essays on a particular topic. My topic is popularity, and I chose to make this particular essay a satire. I showed to my English teacher, but when she was in the middle of the second paragraph she said it was really good but she didn't want to finish it so she wouldn't spoil it for herself when I finally turned it it. So I want to see what you here think. See inside.

Just finished Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" - Hugo and Nebula award winner and....eh...it was OK....love the concept....but think it fell short of awesome. Anyone else read it? First complaint: it never *really* explored the *American* Gods!
