OK, here's the EoG:
1901
Spring
More or less standard openings. Austria seems to be heading to an early exit, with Russia entering Galicia and Italy taking Trieste.
Autumn
Germany gets three builds. Lucky lucky. Everybody else gets one, except France (2), taking Iberia and moving his fleet to the Channel, and Austria (0), managing to lose only Trieste as Russia opted for Rumania. Italy has moved to the Aegean and Greece is still not taken.
Builds
Both France and Germany build two armies, so we can expect a boring Maginot line. France's builds are a friendship offer to England, but it remains to be seen what England intends to do with its new fleet in Liverpool.
1902
Spring
In the west, an alliance has formed: Germany and England. With England retaking the Channel and a German army in Burgundy, France seems doomed. His move to Piedmont isn't worth much, since Italy still has an army in Apulia. Italy must be psychic: he anticipated the Austrian move from Serbia to Greece and has taken Serbia. Italy seems poised to take Greece, too. Austria is in a bad shape and desperately votes "Cancel". No alliances in the east yet.
Autumn
Now everybody votes "Cancel" except France. Why?? Cold feet? I don't get it.
Surprise, surprise. What looked like a stab was actually a Key Lepanto: Austria letting Italy move through its territory all the way to Bulgaria. Such a stunt is extremely hard to pull in a gunboat. Well done!
France misses a turn. Is he so scared by the English-German alliance? But they haven't taken anything yet.
1903
Spring
The Lepanto moves on. Italy gets Constantinople while Austria solidifies its territory.
In the west, England and Germany divide France's corpse among themselves.
Russia seems to be in a stasis, defending and waiting for God knows what.
Just when we thought that the game would be cancelled with France's departure, Germany calls off his "Cancel" vote! I have a feeling the German-English friendship won't last...
Autumn
Germany does cancel the game. It seems I picked the wrong game to comment.
